don't enter in a p.a.d neither a ponzi scheme.... lot of people are moving funds to shitcoins and faling into the abyss of ponzi (like bx2.club btcwork, etc... and hundreds of "good" things offering easy return)... this "universe" of btc and alt(shit)coins are full (man, when I say full, I say F.U.L.L) of scammers, this forum and trollbox of exchanges are full of them (you can search a lot of bad things or take a look into gambling section)... just give some attention to those who have some "respect" or those who aren't "burned".

Well as I remember when I was when I try to join a campaign without reading the first page of the post. post only my address and status on bitcoin. After the inform me that this is not how I can join in that campaign felt so embarrass eventhough I can never be seen. Apologized then read the instruction first before joining any campaign which is very important after all..

The biggest mistake I see newbies making is trying to jump into monetary schemes the minute they get into Bitcoin. Do not waste your time on faucets. Do not waste your time on signature campaigns at low levels. You may not earn anything at the start, but knowledge is infinitely more valuable than the lowest forms of online labor. Integrate yourself into the community and ask questions. Giveaways and opportunities will reveal themselves to you naturally. Once you get your footing and understand the ins and outs, you can start looking at ways to earn money.
In my case, I took advantage of many gambling promotions early on. Then I started freelance writing to earn a decent Bitcoin wage. I've also been participating in signature campaigns over time.

majority of member here are not suggest blockchain, info for storing much bitcoin due to it's system always get maintanance, offline or hard wallet better than that, but for spendable amount blockchain maybe the good solution tho anyways the common mistake of a newbie did is invest their money on hyip programs, nowdays cryptoword are full of with ponzi scheme, my friend just lost 1k in bitcoin on MMM, just sying

The biggest mistake is keeping coins on exchanges. The number of exchanges that have gone out of business or have been hacked and the exchange has "frozen" your coins, and pays you in dribbles over years is amazing. Off the top of my head, mtgox, vircurex, mintpal, bter, cryptsy have all to varying degrees forfeited people's coins.
Do your trade and then get your money out asap.

Common mistakes on trading Or common mistakes as newbie on this forum I'm just gonna assume common mistakes on trading since you only mentioned yobit Be careful of Altcoin prices, they are sometimes unstable and you need to be careful And then see who's the developer of the coins, if it's some shady guy who never heard of then i suggest to not invest there

I'm hearing that we shouldn't use exchanges and if we do, we should only put a small amount on them because it's risky.

My mistake when a noob was not understanding bitcoindays and priority. All that dust from faucets can't really be spent because the priority is low and you need to combine huge amounts of it, which means that the output has a large number of bytes and needs a large fee to send.
If you absolutely must collect dust from faucets, use an address from an exchange - then it's their problem how they handle the priority.

I think the biggest mistake is not learning enough about bitcoin before starting to buy some. Be careful with unstable Altcoins, you can lose a lot of money with those, but if you keep an eye on the price and have a nice buying strategy you'll be fine.

I feel the major mistakes of newbies were making investment into some scam sites without getting guidance from others. Finally ends up in loss, which down the interest of newbies in bitcoin.

Here are the tips : * Don't invest in Ponzi schemes that guarantee you interest on your bitcoins. ( from my experience ) * Don't waste much time on faucets as they are not worth it. Instead spa\end some time on this forum and increase rank and earn from sig. campaign *

Mostly newbies are ignorant of knowing what is right and what is wrong in this new system.
Generally they make mistakes by falling into get rich quick schemes which greed lures them in some way as well.
But remember that hard work will always pay off.

Do not mix things like this and different crypto with online money storage such as paypal, use a bitcoin wallet such as blockchain.info

1. Don't get yourself involved in Ponzi unless you know what you are doing, and you are aware that you will only play with what you can afford ( if you decide to play ponzies ) 2. Faucets are only a place where you can learn the basic concept of bitcoins not for earning at all, in my opinion though 3. Don't get panic when you see the bitcoin price drops, just be chilled it will rise again soon enough
