The halving is the moment that should make all of us happy ,would be like change year,or a born of something good, sure miners arent liking those, but they have the biggest moment to keep and support the bitcoin.I doubt this will really affect them as we all know nakamoto made this to force bitcoin value to go high. The capital that eth is getting is for me just a big pumping happening to the whales make even more bitcoin, eth were worthing 200k satoshis soo its worthing now 0.03bt ,around 15x more sure they ,supporters of eth are taking advantage of the halving into bitcoin to get more support, but i believe eth dump will be on the same portion as the pump, the question is when.Eth has potencial to be the silver coin, and one thing keeps disturbing me will be eth able to get near the value of bitcoin in a short period, because something is really happen and i dont know how to act .

We should not emphasize on halving but should focus on other more important aspects of the growth of bitcoin. Without those progression, halving is actually harming bitcoin.

Only with issues like blocksize adjustment are solved, halving will be more valuable and will stimulate the growth.

You never know what will happen with the halving. But we all hope that it will rise the value for Bitcoin of course.
But there is also a chance that it can be down in value and that is not good. It is hard to predict.

From the beginning of the year each and every user of bitcoin is thinking and talking about the halving. The halving is expected to give a good price jump and soon the price will get stabilized.

That is hard to predict. Because you never know what will happen. And we all hope that the value will rise.
But it can also be stable or going down and that will be not good.

No one can say what will be impact in halving. There could be impact on price, mining. I would stay away of saying that price will skyrocket.
It will be interesting to see what exactly happen.

It should be fun!
One of the reasons why we are in this is because Bitcoin cannot be printed at will like paper money. The halving is going to make us feel what that is like. I think this halving is going to be our first real taste of "that's all you get boys!"
Last halving not as many people were into Bitcoin, and there was an abundance of coins. Next having almost all the coins will be mined already. This halving will be where it will be felt the most.

I do like that there is some expectation, it makes the price move and allows for trading profitability, and halving creates expectation. I also agree that probably we will see some movement when the halving is nearer.

I like it IMO and I see the price possibly to improve if transaction confirmation does not become a problem, the miners most certainly don't since there profit would be reduced by around %40 "if you consider the transaction fees".

Actually i love Halving, and i m still waiting for it , anyone is here to like Halving???
Those people who have a bunch of bitcoins and they have collected their required amount they decided for halving, they want and like halving. While those who don’t have enough amount of bitcoin, they do not want it sooner.

Well its also the question if the halving will be good for the bitcoin so that is the first thing that need to be sure.
Otherwise the halving will let nothing happen and people invested for nothing, I think it will rise but we will see it when it has been done.

Halving, the opposite of QE.

Well in theory this is true.
Let's hope that it will be also reality this time again.
An 2x increase would be awesome. But I'm still having some doubt due to the actual situation, blocksize debate, FUD from outside and some altfanboys who try to spin everybody's head around here.

Yes I also have the same feeling, Just because I know basic economics Cheesy
The supply is getting less, and the demand will get higher, so the price goes up Cheesy

We are finally away from the Mtgox Scam and where the news was saying bitcoin is hacked and over.
The price is back at a stable 400$, I don't expect the price raise right away, but in the end Bitcoin is getting scarcer.
So it would be a logical Price adjustment upwards!

Liking it as well, The price should improve IMO with half of the new supply being taken out... The people that are most annoyed with it are of course the miners who are going to get less money per block..

With litecoin there was a massive pump just before the halving and then a dump when it happened - so just be careful people. I know that the last BTC halving was positive - but it co-incided with Cyprus and btc going mainstream. There may be no external events to help the process this time.

litecoin was pumped heavily by a chinese group. and you probably already know what happened after the litecoin price reached $8 back then. it got dumped down really hard and made the price go back to where it was before the block halving pump started. i hope it will not happen with bitcoin as that would be really sad. this just shows that heavy pumps/peaks don't last.
