Quick question? Why would you use a centralized currency/token issued by a central bank? It doesn't make any sense. The concepts of bitcoin were revolutionary and foreign alien states were late to see this. Sure, people might use it but the likelihood it over takes any major currency is highly unlikely. Why would an individual take something that is basically centralized fiat money repackaged in crypto-currency?

If China is creating a coin I would expect them to manipulate it like the yuan, otherwise I could not take it seriously. Cool

Think there is room for a centralized system running along side bitcoin. Might be wrong but it feels like it would work.

The parts that will be like bitcoin will be very limited, I doubt it will be an open currency, I don't think it will be anonymous at all, I doubt they will give it any form of decentralization and mostly will be a closed currency.
