A couple of points here.
Firstly, this is NOT the first transaction DHL give, it actually starts earlier than this. As soon as the shipper notifies DHL that a parcel is being collected and a status is present that the shipper has notified DHL that they want a collection. Once collected it becomes status no. 1 above. The important thing that I cannot emphasize enough though is that the waybill (tracking) number is generated and available to the customer BEFORE THE GOODS ARE EVEN COLLECTED.
If the goods are coming by DHL and there is no tracking number available then DHL are unaware of this yet. If you doubt what I am saying is true, just pick up the phone and call DHL.
