I'm a teen. I've earned alot more than $1k. I would monitor their investments, because I myself was very tempted to purchase a laptop after bitcoin spiked. Help your kid to understand economics.

what i will recommend is to invest with it...there are several site to mine and gain more btc...
i would recommend to only invest their money into bitcoins i think and nothing else, that is the best investment option right now |

With, good knowledge and skills you could earn decent amount very easily. giving a teen $1000 he would most probably spend it all or at least most part of it and buys something for him/herself. very few would even consider investing money to earn more. and i think it is best if that much is only invested in bitcoin and keep it for long term. because altcoin trading requires a long time for learning it and also a lot of time to spend doing the trades and finding the best options. it is not easy. |

Well remember a teen is given that big amount and I would say trading is still not that clear to him on how it is really working. And for me it is better if that teen is just going to be safe with that amount and put that in his bitcoin wallet. And just wait for the price fluctuation so that he is going to see on how his money grows with bitcoin by just holding it. |

I would suggest that teen to just hold the coins untill any inflation or better if it is being used for some other gurremty profit making busnesses like lending or trading only if you research before investing

Let's say a young teenager is given some coming-of-age money from their family, and is interested in growing that money through Bitcoin. Without encouraging him/her to invest in risky strategies, what are some lower risk methods of growing a Bitcoin portfolio with a hypothetical gift of $1K?
] If teen will be given by this amount, If he don't want to loose it he/she needs to hold it, but it will take a long time of waiting before he/she can sell bitcoins. and the other safest thing I think is, try to invest in potential ico that for sure after the ico project the price will increase. Now no one will require a longer time to earn a bigger profit from holding their coins as the price of bitcoin has started to increase and any person who will buy now or have some bitcoins in their wallet already they will earn a bigger amount sooner within a month or two. |

Wait and see if the price dips a little again and then buy bitcoins.If you buy right now the rate of return would be very less even if it keeps on increasing as rate of increase would be very less.

$1K is a nice amount. I would suggest to keep it save in bitcoin wallet, if he has no or little experience in trading. Once getting enough knowledge he can try his luck in trading. |

I would recommend that he just keep that 1000USD in his bitcoin wallet untouched. Leaving the coins untouched = getting the whole potential earning. All he will do is wait. In the meantime, he can focus on whatever he wants to do in his life. Let him do his thing. Once he got excellent at that thing (whatever that is), he can then withdraw the Bitcoin he has been holding for a long time. He will use that money to step up his game in whatever he has been working on.

Actually everyone have their own way to use the bitcoins. Someone prefer to save the bitcoin for a long time, even the price increased but instead of it they hold it, and someone use the bitcoin only for investment or trading, but i choice the all ways to use the bitcoins, because i hold some bitcoin for long time, and also i am doing trading. Even i also use my bitcoins in gambling.

If he is given the money to invest then he should invest in it he is just a teen so I am sure that he does not really need the money. Let him invest because if he does he will become happy when he is a adult. |
