As long as your miners are running and submitting shares under your username, your getting credit. Afaik it's strictly a stats display issue which he'll get corrected asap. It's happened on more than one pool, The stats are messed up, But your still getting credit on the backend. I don't even check the stats that often, Because it will drive you crazy after a while...lol

I'm still pushing my 1.2ghash to BTCGuild, And I'm not concerned at all. He'll get it straightened out.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Sure its called variance, but for me its called making money Smiley
If a pool isn't giving me the return I can expect at another, I am outta there.  I mined at BTCguild for quite a while, and it seems like every round they have is a "long round".  Sure their was some short ones sprinkled in there, but on average, their rounds are horrible. LOL.  I switched to deepbit and made more in the last 12 hours than i did in 3 days at BTCguild

I agree this is starting to worry me more then anything it seems like the rounds are going for hours and I'm not sure if that is just a reportin bug on the site or what.  I'll give it till I get home today to see if things change (as I can't change the computer till then) and if they do I'll stick with it if not I'll change to another pool for a bit.

FYI the current round says it has been 5 hours which I don't think is accurate but is making me worried.

Working on the fix right now, something went wrong when I was asleep (as usual).  The last 4 blocks have not yet been allocated to users.  Looking into why that is right now.  Your share data for all 4 rounds is still there, so it's just an issue of getting everybody's accounts credited for the 4 blocks and getting them into the stats.

Thank you for addressing it, hope you will get it sorted soon.

Glad to see you're working on this. I've been watching my stats and wondering why it hasn't looked right.

Are the displayed shares per block in the blockexplorer also fixed? Is it right, that there are more shares submitted fot the 45minutes Block than for the 5hrs block?

Block share counts, times, and rewards are now back in order.  There was a bug in the way I handled the list of the block generations for the 3 servers, and the EU server was overriding the US East server's list, rather than adding onto the main list.  As usual, this only caused a temporary problem in displaying accurate stats.  The backend is very strong and is never overwritten by the frontend when performing reward calculations, so your historical data remained safe for recalculating the rounds.

This is why I point my 4.8 Ghash at the Guild and give 2.5%. Awesome customer service and Eleuthria is on top of any issues as soon as he finds out about them. I'll be adding another 1.4 Ghash in the next 24 hours.  Wink

I'm new to btcguild (a tentative move from another mining team) and trying to understand why the number of shares that I show solved on my desktop, the pool block history and the my account page don't add up.

Right now, the "my account" page shows 43 total shares solved, of which 2 are from "this round". This suggests that I should have 41 shares from previous rounds. When I go to "block statistics" and add up "my shares", I get a total of 23 (including from unconfirmed blocks). Am I misunderstanding something here?

I'm pointing my 410 MHash/s to eu.btcguild.com since 4 hours now and earned 0.01366009 BTC. Something is still wrong there, at least for my account...

I'm still looking at 0 rewards for 4-6 hours, maybe more. Is this issue display only or do I need to switch back to deepbit? I'm contributing around 6Mhash/second

right now it looks as if this block is taking almost 4 hours to solve.  You wont get any rewards until the block is solved.  Also, if you are donating less than 2.5% you wont get any rewards from previously solved blocks (the rewards wont go into the "confirmed" column) until the block has been confirmed across the bitcoin network.

I also tried this pool a couple of days ago and left for deepbit because of too long blocks/low rewards...

the problem is that mining clients apparently don't do any kind of checks whether the the smaller jobs they are working on end up in any new blocks found... is this even possible?

hence the pool software might be so much broken that it would not distribute found blocks... so all those long blocks we see could be actually several found blocks
