For the past 6 weeks, I guess I've been buying and selling ETH more than 20 times. Each time with a profit. Last time I've bought, I paid 0.029 and I had the opportunity to sell with a profit, which I did, but I've chosen to hold 10 ETH. I won't sell them no matter how down the price may go. I'm doing that because I want Ethereum to be more than pump and dump. The idea, the whole project, I want to support it. It is a great project. The currency may go down, but I sincerely hope the big project behind will be successful. I also hope I'm not the only one.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

I feel the same.  Will hold a small amount because I think the project has potential and there is a lot of talent behind it.  This could just be a price correction and no need to panic.

I love Bitcoin

it's about fricken time someone posted a thread in the altcoin section about Ethereum!

Yes, there are many topics already, but they're all negative, so I decided to start a positive one. There are good things in Ethereum. It's a great idea, and I'm betting on its success sometimes in the future. Actually, I may even start something with it if OpenBazaar doesn't grow as fast as planned.

You an idiot for doing that because ETH is doomed for failure.
AND.. NOW this is another Negative topic too Wink

Has it occurred to you to wonder.. WHY
those other topics were negative ?

By the way prove it..
2nd of all prove it again on a regular basis
3rd supporting a scam with money does not make a coin legit.. it's still a scam.

I'm in the same boat and I'm tempted to just buy back in.  I don't have a really strong opinion on eth either way though--I'm very conflicted.

ETH is a great shitcoin.

Great because have a strong team with a excellent marketing.
Shitcoin because is a shitcoin... and may be always be it.

The ETH's momentum is the storm on Bitcoin.

I'm holding some ETH because I think more negative news will come from Bitcoin drama.

I'm sure about the good future about Bitcoin, but this year is, and will be whole, a drama.

I'm long on ETH. It's a fantastic new tech and just in its embryonic stages. Remember we are just out of beta.

Of course you're not the only one. At first skeptical of the ether, because of its bloated in the media and online forums.
Do not expect a quick growth of the coins, you need to wait for the time and the situation is stabilized.

yes, I'm a proud backer of Ethereum, and I shall add that most people everywhere were enthusiastic about it 2 months ago.

The problem is that a few weeks ago, some folks with too much money started to buy ETH like crazy and the price shot the moon, but I hope those days are over, so that only normal people use and deal ETH.

it is nice that you are supporting a project that you love but at what cost?

i like ETH but i like my money more. i really enjoyed the ETH ride in the past few weeks and i bought and sold many times just like you. but even i sold my ETH as soon as i felt danger was near to avoid further losses.

i will make sure in the future to buy back if the price seemed right to me and i felt it has a future.

I'm going to keep like 15 Ethers too. Their project looks pretty good to me. There is a bit of negative fluctuation right now in Ethereum price, but I guess that it will go up soon again to $13-$14 for sure.

But the question is how is it going to effect other coins that use ETH like Factom ?

why not sell now and then buy again after the dump stopped. you can buy even more ETH then.

But the question is how is it going to effect other coins that use ETH like Factom ?

they have been taking a dive too. started even before ETH.

I heard about this coin a lot outside this forum , but when I checked here most people are giving negative feedbacks
anyways try not to lose with this new coin , holding like 10 coins won't hurt though
for me I will stay a bitcoin believer , for me btc has always been a good investment

unfortunately the prices going to down now but this is your decision and i hope you won't be regret about that because actually some people buying altcoins only care about how to get money from that and very rarely to see someone like you and i hope people will follow your steps and not just thinking about the profit

Markets have a tendency to eventually value things for what they're worth "now". Not in several year's time.

Right now there's about to be tens of thousands of daily Ether mining supply hitting the exchanges against greatly diminished demand due to bubble burst & profit taking.

Expect the market to reflect that.

Clue: A post-pump favourite of coins with "strong fundamentals" Wink

Thanks for your support. I want to look further away than making a small profit, besides my investment is minimal. I'm only holding 10 ETH, that's only $100. I made more than that in the past weeks buying and selling ETH, so I don't mind losing some of my profit. I shall also consider that this was totally unexpected. I hadn't imagined ETH's value would skyrocket the way it did.

I hold ethereum. I backed in the crowdsale and I have not sold a single one. I beleive in the dev team. Todays price or the last ath doesnt mean a thing to me. If you beleive in something stick with it. Im not here to make a measily few dollers per coin. Its all or nothing for me. I will hold for 2 years and re-evaluate. Ethereum is not even in full release, not until metro. Theres plenty of other people like me that bought into the crowdsale and hold for the same reasons.

I was wondering about ethereum as an holder suffering from its insane speculation, then had a look at one of the dapp being developped, Slock.it, and all my doubts desappeared.
