Hi guys, I saw a rig on a site called omg it works and it claimed "Adapter 5 – MSI Lightning 7970 @ 1200 / 1500: 28,9 MH/s Sensor 0: Temperature – 76.00 C"
So I went and bought a MSI Radeon 7970 Lightning BE and it arrived this morning, I've set up ethminer and ethproxy but I'm only getting about 17 sometimes 18mh/s on ETH

"
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
ethminer.exe -G --opencl -F http://127.0.0.1:4052/miner/17/Lightning --opencl-platform 0 --opencl-device 0 --farm-recheck 500 --cl-global-work 16384 --cl-global-work 8192
pause
"
This was slow before I added those arguments, too, if I'm missing any arguments that would increase my speed let me know
I've tried moving all the clocks around in msi afterburner and also moved the voltages around but nothing seems to make a difference apart from sometimes the miner will flash 20mh/s at me for one line and go back to 18 for a while
I'm thinking maybe I have the wrong drivers or something...

If you can help me fix it I will send you 5$ in btc or mine @ around 32mh/s to a pool of your choice for 12 hours (I'll use my old 770 too)

Thanks in advance

The absolute max the 7970 can get is 21MH/s, maybe 22MH/s with extreme overclocking.

Your 17MH is normal if you are using Windows 10 or have Elphina ram.

1) MSI Lightning 7970 @ 1000 / 1500

2) ethminer.exe -G -F http://127.0.0.1:4052/miner/17/Lightning --farm-recheck 500 --cl-local-work 128 --cl-global-work 16384

1) MSI Lightning 7970 @ 1000 / 1500

2) ethminer.exe -G -F http://127.0.0.1:4052/miner/17/Lightning --farm-recheck 500 --cl-local-work 128 --cl-global-work 16384

I don't understand, I think you're confused between clock speeds and launch parameters  Cheesy

 Tongue

First stap : decrease core 1000 and memory 1500

Second : at .bat file use  ethminer.exe -G -F http://127.0.0.1:4052/miner/17/Lightning --farm-recheck 500 --cl-local-work 128 --cl-global-work 16384

and say what Mh\s y have

Thanks for your response, with my batfile exactly as you said and with those clock speeds i get about 16MH/s and it sometimes flashes up 20mh/s

I just run a stock bat file. I found anything I added, made no difference or very little.
ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://127.0.0.1:8332/

Then overclocked using afterburner

Core 1150
Memory 1500
powerlimit between +10 and +20

I found adjusting the powerlimit got me up to between 21-22 for the same card.
This is with the latest drivers in windows 7
