I don`t understand why Clash of Clans is so popular (Over 100M downloads).

Age of Strategy!

Man, that looks like the old Utopia game from Mattel Intellivision!  Can I play it from my computer as well?  I can't find any official homepage - only one for Android and a forum.

I don't play games on android but on IOS. Nowadays they offer almost the same apps and personal I like Vainglory, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, real racing 3. Few games worth playing really addictive.

Yap i was gotten with the hype but it was taking up may time so i just uninstalled it. But i am still seeing some people playing it. Leisurely.

Right now I am playing another game by the same Supercell gamehouse who developed Clash of Clans. Their newest game is named Clash Royale and it does seem more tactical than Clash of Clans. Enjoying it so far!

I use to playing coc a lot ,but after few month it getting more more bored
So i stop playing and went for new CLASH ROYALE!
Many games subway surfer, temple run etcx etc

Can some one break down these apps like Clash of Clans and why they can afford to advertise non stop?
Sometimes when I watch a hockey game its every other add is one of these apps and I know they data mine but is it really that profitable.

I have been a game developer for years, my opinion on most games is arguably fact, here are some good games

868 HACK -  (http://868-hack.neocities.org/ ) its an ios game now, but i think the android one is coming out soon, either way its good

They have a big advertising budget.....

Yeah and it is worth it many gamers became addicted to this game but I don't. For me I can't give a name for a strategy game, but why not try some tower defense strategy games?
