I was actually thinking with a transaction like this, we should meet in person at a safe location in a bank or something. I am willing to travel, if you can prove you have one.

Not possible, I'm from Europe.

Can only work like this: you pay $10.000 in bitcoin and you receive one Avalon by DHL.

Transaction would go something like this:

1) Buyer shows up
2) Seller shows up
3) Both exchange handshakes and oddly suspicious looks
4) Buyer demands to see the hardware
5) Seller presents hardware
6) Seller gets a baseball bat to the head when he least suspects it
7) "Buyer" and accomplice walk away
Cool Profit!

haha

I did a face-to-face transaction w/ $2050 cash.

I never really thought about it until someone else mentioned 'wtf, you're meeting a stranger w/ $2050 in cash in your wallet?'... =/

anyway, for a deal such as this, you'd probably want to go through a broker, eh?

Dacentec Dedicated Servers (Lenoir, NC, USA) from $25/mo & Time4VPS Storage VPS' (Vilnius, Lithuania) from €18/qtr & Hetzner's serverbidding, from ~€20/mo -- had bitcoin nodes & p2pool (dacentec, hetzner) for several years on these.  Only two are affiliate links too, kek! -------  Feel free to join my G2A Goldmine Pyramid Scheme Team, or possibly even buy a Steam game from there.  Maybe.

option: find another 20K and invest in a BFL MiniRig @ 1500 GH/s.

comparatively, your 10K investment fetches you a third of a MiniRig (or 500GH/s) vs. Avalon's 66 GH/s... but it's your cash..

Wow that's some crazy shit. This world is full of scumbags though so to minimize risk it would be best to conduct this exchange in a public coffee shop (when there a lot of people) and also to bring a friend or two.

Contact one of the ASIC manufacturers and ask to buy one of the testers.

No, I think he's trying to explain that the people who have one are mining like crazy right now and making tons of BTC.
