Will someone please explain how to sign a message using my Blockchain address?

just use electrum >right click sign > then sign it with any message

its very easy, and you can also verify stuff

Should you need help with this again in the future,  I have released a set of scripts (BATforN - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1409955.0) that make various functions easier and/or faster to accomplish including message signing and the scripts work for pretty much ANY coin client.

If you are struck in signing a message from blockchain.info web wallet then try to make new account in classical blockchain.info site and then inport the Private keys.
 *new beta version of web wallet does not support signing of message nor it support import/export of private keys,
