How to identify promising new altcoins!

I keep an eye on coinmarketcap for new coins - before it hits cmc, it's too early.

Here's the table,

If you see a '?' in the last column (7 day change), that's a new coin that's just been added to CMC and is worthy of further investigation. Sometimes CMC makes a mistakes and puts a '?' in the last column, so to make sure, check the chart to make sure it doesn't have much history.

I have a script set up to report new coins hitting CMC for me that meet certain parameters.

It's not a guarantee, but it generally throws up coins that are worthy of further investigation.

This is a nice way to find new coins and to investigate , I always miss out on early cheap coins this will help me for sure.

With new altcoins coming out every day, I'm having a hard time discerning which ones to take seriously, and which to disregard. What criteria do you look for in a new coin that makes it stand out?  Please don't spam me with a sales pitch for your coin.  I would like to know the process for picking out promising new coins before they've already succeeded.

I tend to prefer coins that have higher trading volume.  They're much safer to buy into imho.  Also know the team behind the coin, research each one of them thoroughly.
