Automatically the owner of a wallet load with bitcoin or the person who control a wallet load with bitcoin is the owner of the Bitcoin inside the wallet account not Satoshi.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Bitcoin is invented by Satoshi Nakamoto but it is common knowledge that his identity is not known. If there arise any dispute related to bitcoin or its ownership, how would it be settled by court of law or in other words who is the legal owner of bitcoin?
I think this is exactly revolutionary on BTC that will make the whole society to function in a new way. BTC a chance to change life for better , including laws,  without bloody revolutions..

Question about bitcoin ownership is only showing us that people are not used to decentralized model of economy. They think - if someone invented it then he/she owns it.
In old centralized model it is true, but bitcoin works totally different. Sometimes is really hard for me to convince people that there is no hidden agenda in bitcoin  and coins are fully under people's control.

Bitcoin has no legal owner. The prosecutor and the defendant are the ones to appear before the judge.

The case will be reviewed without a "bitcoin owner."

Pascal developed a mechanical calculator... Who is the owner of all the calculators in the world? Your question is as good as the one I mentioned. See, now no one owns all the calculators in the world. Each calculator is owned by each person.

Bitcoin's example is similar to that. It has once been invented, and now no one owns it. You own only your bitcoin wallet like I own mine.

Yes, Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto invented/created the bitcoin, such a brilliant mind.  I have read that he left the project in 2010 without identifying himself to the public.  Maybe he already earned/paid much more to the bitcoin he developed or created.

to me it is a good point about bitcoin that no one know the owner of bitcoin. and so no one can claim that he is the owner of bitcoin. that is really important and plus point about bitcoin. and that is the reason that we can say that bitcoin has become a universal currency.

i think no one know the fact that who owns bitcoin. these are just speculation and expectation. no one know the fact. but my personal view is that the society owns bitcoin. the people who use it and holding it is the owner. so i can say that i am the owner of my bitcoin and no one has the right to get it from me  just like dollar.

No one owns bitcoins, should a legal problem arise in future, the person who has the bitcoins would be sued not the inventor of bitcoin.

and why are people asking about the owner of the bitcoin. is it important to know about the owner of bitcoin. my personal view is that it is not important to know about the owner of bitcoin. he invented the currency and thats enough and now i am earning it like other fiat currency. so i think i am  the owner of my currency and so every one is .

i think these are just the speculation and no one still know who is satoshi nakamoto and where he is from? so i think it may be a false news and there will be no reality in it. because you can see so many people here who are claiming that they are satoshi and they have invested bitcoin.

No one owns the protocol if that's what you mean, as it is open source. But everyone that has coins 'owns' a piece of bitcoin. It can probably be argued, however, that those who control the mining ultimately control the fate of the coin. Ask China Wink

infarct he cannot do so. and i personally think that now there is no owner of bitocin. it is free and uncontrollable. it is now an open currency and every one has the right to earn it. i am the owner of bitcoin i have in preset time and no satoshi matoshi can take it from me.

there is no legal owner of bitcoin that's the beauty, bitcoin is not the owner only the creator, which mean nothing in the end

and those 50 coins in the first block are not spendable anyway

Why are they not spendable?
