So im a SEO dummy, if i was to put a website address in my signature on bitcointalk.org thats going to count as a pretty good backlink isn't it to build SEO for the website?

Yeah it helps that you can make unlimited backlinks here in bitcoin talk you can start signature campaign to have more impressions about your site.
And you can get high quality backlinks in this forum.,. thats why they are starting signature campaign because of many benefits given by this forum..
I tried this in my faucet before with my signature and start posting and promoting my website..

I dont agree with it because now a days it is considered fishy and more sort of spamming adding link to your signature everytime.

Signature is one good source of getting backlinks but try to do link building using social medias, infographics, emails, blogs and whatnot. After all, signature is not the only signal google uses for page rank.

Yeah your right you need to spread to any high quality website to get high quality backlinks.. not only in social media you shoud spread it to in forums and other website to link to your website.. so that you can get high rank in google not only in google.. in other search engine..
