I loved the Jonathan Blow game "The Witness", great puzzles in a beautiful world... and I loved finding the quotes/audio messages throughout the game. If you make it far enough into the game, there is a fantastic timed puzzle that you need to complete before "In The Hall of the Mountain King" as performed by the Metropolitan Philharmonic Orchestra is completed (there's also another song, but I don't know that I ever knew the name of it). It really gets your blood pumping as you race the clock to this amazing song to solve the challenge puzzle(s).
I'm also a big fan of the Ninja Theory game "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice"... the studio got picked up by Microsoft and I was real worried we wouldn't get a sequel, but then they released a teaser trailer as part of the Xbox Series X announcement at a game convention. I really hope I'll be able to play it on the PC. If you've never played, I highly recommend it. Especially if you're a fan of Celtic and Norse mythology (the story follows a mentally troubled young Celtic woman who's lover has been sacrificed by invading Vikings to their Norse gods).
Edit: Also looking forward to Cyberpunk!

The early access of Baldur's Gate 3 reminded me of past titles that I once played. Actually, I wanted to talk about BG 2, which I remember most of all. A very good virtual implementation of the DnD world for those years.

Anyone here played Hearts of Iron 4? It's an awesome strategy game for PC. The graphics are not that great but there are so many possibilities. I watched a few youtube videos and started to play it myself lately. Very cool game and tons of positive reviews on steam.

Interesting game. I have the same game play but it's not on Steam but Epic games. I got it for free. The game setting is from the Spartans period. The game's name is A Total War Saga: Troy. But, I'll check this game you have said.

My favorite is GTA Online.
This may not be original but in here I learned how to value time and money (earnings). Not only does it contain almost all the game aspects that I love: story, shooting, collection, mystery, and excitement, it is also difficult. Yes, difficult. I am one of those heavy-duty grinders who manages multiple businesses at once, all of which serve as my passive income and the heists as my active income. Because of this, I value my hard-earned money to well that I'd only buy what I need to earn more money. I know what you'd say, that I am wasting my time because i should be enjoying what I am playing. Yes you are correct, I am not enjoying grinding repeatedly but I know that someday I'd have more money so that I can buy everything that I wanted.
That's what brought me here. If I can apply my thriftiness in-game, why can't I IRL?
Thank you.

LOL and Clash of Clans I play the most right now, both are quite entertaining
But you know what? Clash of clans isn't a PC game. It's a mobile strategy game. Although you can play with several emulators but it wouldn't change the fact that it is a mobile game, not a PC game. But that's not a big thing though, I've just felt that I have to say it. I love the game, played LOL few times but not that good at it and the same as with COC.

My favorite PC games are Grand Theft Auto series, Watch Dogs series, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Valhalla and Red Dead Redemption 2. I am really into Open-World games, I like spending my free time running or driving around and messing with the people in game. I can still remember the very first game I played when I was 5 years old and it was GTA: San Andreas and I will never get tired of playing it all over again.
