If the price reaches +1000 $ after the halving, I will sell all my coins with that good profit and  I may buy again after the price go down as I believe that after any high rise, the price go down again as a lot of sellers would sell

I think most of us would pretty much do that.

Thats easy $40k in the bank if you held 40 btcs.. and serious good return if it was bought anywhere in $300-400 zone.

No I do not see this happen, there is a lot of speculation about it and its true that its not to predict.
But I think it has a good chance that it will let the price rise to a high amount so selling would be stupid, just hold them for a couple months longer..

The OP says let's assume. So if I assume that it really goes on that value. This is what I'm going to do.

I will secure my profits and buy something with it or wait for the price to go down significantly to re-invest in Bitcoin. That's what I will do.

If it reaches 1700 I would sell some to rebuy it a little lower (1600 perhaps) and hold some just in case it keeps going up.

Let's assume that we reach a new ATH of $1,700, what do you do?

i don't think this possible.
buy hypothetically speaking, reaching $1700 in a couple of months means a super unstable price, so i will make sure to sell most of my bitcoins (i will never sell all of them) and buy back when the bubble is over and the price is back to normal.

Problem is, if you look at the last bubble, the price fell back, but nowhere near the level it started at. Basically if you sold at around $100 thinking it was a bubble (that was a 1000% rise from $10 level it was at previously), you had zero chance of buying back after the bubble bursts, because the price resettled at $200+ level

that is what I do. I hold most of my coins and use some when the price is high. This will help the bitcon community.

At this moment, I think that price will stay the same, this will dissapoint a lot of people and there will be a massive sell-off. That will be the begining of the new ATH or the total crash of BTC

There is a lot of variance in your prediction friend. Either there will be too much ice cream, or no ice cream. Wouldn't a more reasonable person find that there would be a more moderate option?

No way. There are not valid data backing 3x price increase of bitcoin just because Halving is approaching. At best it will be slight price boost - no more that $100-$150.
You will be a silly wishful thinking man for believing bitcoin can go that high, it would be a short lived bubble if that ever happened in 2016.
Ditto, my peeps.  The halvening, I am pretty certain, has been priced in.  Still I am watching with breath a-bated and will be very surprised if we get a spike after the halfffing.  Stranger things have happened in bitcoinland, but I don't think we're going anywhere near $1700.

I plan to hold for long time but if we reach that in a short time I'd sell my coins and realise thee profit. After the pump I'll buy again and have more coins  (or same coins and some $ value profit), either way it sounds very good. Smiley

I guess i will just have to hold it to and wait for the next halving in 4 years that will double the price and i will gain much more profit.

the answer is pretty obvious, it depends Cheesy
we are never gonna get there because of halving alone. but if we get there quickly in a couple of months then it is a bubble and the best option is to sell before the decline.
but if something big happens that pushed the price up naturally and over time then i will keep holding.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.

We can predict, none denies it. But if  go to $1700 every user gets a opportunity to grab it in a short time as the price won't get fixed to it for a long time.
yes the price is too high usually will not last long. like when reach $1000, did not last long and then getting down. so when the price go to $1700, I will sell all.

1700$ is really a high price for this coming halving but if it comes to that price im sure it will go down fast and we might lose more.

Just like the graph a few years ago the price sky rocket then slowly goes down and just play on the price.
