President Obama said Wednesday that he will continue to “aggressively” go after the Islamic State militant group after terrorist attacks in Belgium on Tuesday that he described as “senseless, vicious violence.”

“Today the people of the United States and Argentina stand with the Belgian people and express our extraordinary sorry for the losses that they’ve experienced,” Mr. Obama said, after a meeting with Argentina’s president here. “The United States will continue to offer any assistance that we can to help investigate these attacks and bring these attackers to justice.”

Mr. Obama said defeating the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, is his top priority and defended his strategy for doing so. But he conceded that he has not yet been able to thwart the indiscriminate attacks by the group around the world.

“My top priority is to defeat ISIL and to eliminate the scourge of this barbaric terrorism that’s been taking place around the world,” Mr. Obama said.

“This is difficult work,” he added. “It’s not because we don’t have the best and the brightest working on it, it’s not because we are not taking the threat seriously, it is because it’s challenging to find and identify very small groups of people who are willing to die themselves and can walk into a crowd and detonate a bomb.”

US Air Force running out of bombs to fight ISIS

Published December 05, 2015  FoxNews.com

The U.S. military says its 15-month bombing campaign on the Islamic State is depleting its munitions supply and that additional money and other support is “critical” for “the long fight.”

"We're expending munitions faster than we can replenish them,” Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh said Friday. “We need the funding in place to ensure we're prepared for the long fight. This is a critical need."

The Air Force has reportedly fired more than 20,000 bombs and missiles in Syria in the fight to dismantle the self-proclaimed Islamic State.

Air Force officials say they have enough munitions right now but project a shortage and want more long-term planning and funding to meet future needs.

“B-1s have dropped bombs in record numbers,” Welsh also said. “We are able to manage inventories to sustain operations against ISIL at this time. We do need funding in place and the ability to forecast for production to be ready for the long fight… We continue to work on a longer term funding strategy which is absolutely required."

Russia and France have over just the past few weeks began bombing ISIS targets in Syria. And Great Britain earlier this week decided to join the U.S.-led bombing coalition, following a recent series of ISIS terror attacks outside of the Middle East. Russia is not part of the coalition.

The Air Force now has an estimated 142,000 "smart bombs," or guided munitions, and 2,300 Hellfire missiles, used in drone strike to kill terrorists.

A military official at the Pentagon however pushed back on Sunday against reports that the Air Force is running low on bombs.

"The Department of Defense maintains ample stocks of munitions for use both in training and in war," the official told Fox News. "As those munitions are consumed, we use various methods to replenish our operational stocks. We are not aware of any ammunition replenishment issues that would interfere with ongoing combat operations against ISIL at this time."

I've just seen this news in TV. I wonder how he plan to finish ISIS when he has numerous days left. I think he has to stop supporting ISIS supporter countries first, such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey. After Obama gone Hillary has to deal with this ISIS problem.

Obama Calls Climate Change, Not Terrorism, Our Greatest Threat

December 1, 2015 2:53 pm

A new SuperCut video contrasts doomsday rhetoric from the Obama administration about climate change with news clips of terrorist attacks, plane bombings and beheadings by the Islamic State.

President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Secretary of State John Kerry offer the following words in the video about climate change.

“Today, there is no greater threat to our planet than climate change.”

“No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change.”

“It is indeed one of the biggest threats facing our planet today.”

“Climate change is the threat multiplier.”

“If another country threatened to wipe out an American town, we’d do everything in our power to protect ourselves. Climate change poses the same threat right now.”

“And years from now, I want to be able to look our children and grandchildren in the eye and tell them we did everything we could to protect them.”

On Tuesday, Obama appeared to equate the threats of climate change and terrorism, saying they required similar responses. The Hill reports:

“In some ways, [climate change] is akin to the problem of terrorism and ISIL,” Obama said, using an alternate acronym for the terror group.

Both threats, Obama said, require a long, sustained effort by the United States to assess and neutralize them.

The administration has long maintained that the effects of climate change — like rising sea levels, extreme weather, drought and crop problems — could create more harm and unrest than terrorism, and require a similar response.

Republicans have overwhelmingly dismissed the idea and excoriated Obama for understating the threat of terrorism and not taking it seriously.

Obama’s comments came weeks after the ISIS killed 130 people in a series of coordinated gun and bomb attacks in Paris in one of the deadliest attacks perpetrated by the extremist group.

At a news conference on Monday, White House national security adviser Ben Rhodes refused to directly answer which issue, climate change or terrorism, is a bigger threat to the U.S.

“The leaders who have looked at the danger of climate change, they see even the instability we’re faced today significantly magnified by the effects of climate change over time given the disruptions that extreme weather will have on certain countries, given, again, the lives that will be put at stake and the economic disruptions that will take place with the continued effects of climate change,” he said.

Again? He already went "aggressively" after ISIS a couple of times, but for some reason those were the heydays of ISIS. Finally the Russians had to go there to push back those savages.

obama calling for another world war? I think defeating ISIS is a good idea but it might be better to be quite and do it in private so ISIS won't be able to prepare, if obama pursue this it will going to create another big explosion and many innocents people like us would be in great danger, I hope u.s will find another ways to defeat the ISIS so we can live this world peacefully.

I am not sure how the US will defend ISIS with its current set of foreign policies and its unwillingness to commit personnel to a conflict region with no end game in sight

Obamas appeasment and lax policies helped DAESH grow, I think he should shut up over this subject. As someone who admires him a lot. He got this one very wrong.

No longer matters what Obama says,he is on his round the world tour as he fades to black.
Climate Change and Terrorism will battle it out for the next decade at least as we keep getting new news from both.
No shocker he makes a statement like this just after a attack,it reinforces that the Countries are standing united against ISIS,its mostly a gesture.

Well at this point,  don't you think it's a little late for that? He doesn't have to be defeated, we just have to elect the right president in the upcoming elections. I have no problems with the goal being to defeat Isis, but I sure as hell don't trust the government. Or Obama.
