Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

What a prick. (The announcer)
Fox gets fiat every time they say the t word. They have to say it and then say it again. Other than that, I thought this was an interesting pro btc interview.

I believe he's just playing devils advocate to create debate. He is known for being a "libertarian"

this is good news. Stossel is not a prick, but he may seem like one. Awesome to see that girl Catherine of Reason Magazine (circulation ~50,000) obviously took a good look at bitcoin and is definitely pro Bitcoin (no surprise, Reason Mag is libertarian). Obviously Stossel is also pro-bitcoin, he was just asking the "negative" questions so Catherine could set things straight.

I stand corrected. I'm not american so I don't know this guy. I only noticed that CNN are usually easy on propaganda.

Yeah he's not a prick at all. He's a badass. On his show he'll often take the opposing side just to let the guest explain something. I promise you that Stossel loves Bitcoin. It was probably his idea to have the show episode about it.

It wasn't that bad for Fox I thought actually, the presenter clearly was trying to be the hateful interviewer like usual Fox but he clearly got won over by the pro's of Bitcoin because from what I've seen it really does outweigh the bad stuff, you can't help but like it when you see all the crap you have to put up with when it comes to paper money.

I see this as a strongly bullish signal.
They did a reasonable job of explaining Bitcoins to Fox's demographic using a non-threatening woman who stayed on message.

I like how the interview was factual (something that does not happen much with bitcoin in the press) but I don't like how the answer to everything bad that can be done with bitcoin was "here is my middle finger". What about all the good that can be done with bitcoin? What about the ultimate good of sticking it to the banks and allowing government to work for us?
