Basically I have a number with 2FA enabled on blockchain, 2 days ago that number was disabled because I didnt put money on that sim card for long time.

Now I cant receive or send SMS messages, same goes for phone calls.. This means I cannot receive 2FA SMS messages anymore and I cannot enter in my blockchain wallet.
I talked to my carrier as well, they said its not possible to retrieve number for next 6 months.

I submited 2FA removal request but I'm still little bit worried.

How screwed am I?

Probably not screwed but this is a good example of why online wallets are bad. You don't controlling your own private keys so the bitcoin really isn't' yours.

I believe blockchain.info is dealing with such cases that they check your email address and I think they set back 2FA after 2 weeks.

You really should see that as a lesson. Alway and ever note done the creation code for 2FA. So that you can easily set the 2FA up on a new phone.

Though I think you used sms verification.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

as it is stated by Blockchain.info support page, if you can prove that you own the wallet by giving them things they ask for, there is a chance for you to take back your account by removing the 2FA for you but it is not going to be easy proving the ownership of the wallet without the info

Do you have the wallet back up? if you do then you wouldn't need their help and can import the key into another wallet and use your funds. If not then just prey that blockchain.info removes that 2fa because if they don't, that money will be stuck there forever.

I don't think they take requests on 2FA removal or they do ? that should make hacking easy if they do I suppose .
I feel sorry for you man , I really do but let's be honestly , don't you think ti's kinda your fault ? these things happens and someone should be prepared for them , you had at least to print wallet backup or take the seed phrase that Blockchain.info wallet should give it to you .

I hope that their support will help you regarding the 2fa problem as I did not see blockchain.info trying to help any one and they claim that they do not control the wallets. Anyway, try to contact your Sim provider asking to restore the sim. In my country they give some days in which you can restore the number. And when you get access to your wallet again, export your private keys and save them in a safe place

Doubt that part of the story is a miscommunication from the provider. Phone numbers are "taken" for 7 business days after being deactivated before they are available again.

Or that is how it is in most countries anyway Smiley

Not sure if its real true though. I live in the worst country but providers don't do this as far as  i know. My phone still works almost a year without using since I'm mostly using skype.
even when i call my brothers and sisters we use facetime application so i don't use SIM cards most of the time.

hope OP gets his BTC back though.

Different countries has different policies i guess Tongue
In my place you need to at least use the number once, otherwise it will get blocked by the provider for 'inactivity' even though i use it for 2FA
That's why i sent a random messages to my 2nd number every week
as long as my number don't blocked Grin

I've found most places amenable to dealing with 2FA problems. I dunno if Blockchain has any control over it in the same way as an exchange but you stand a good chance of getting back in.

You can ask them yourself if you dont believe me, my provider name is simpa and I'm from croatia.
https://www.simpa.hr/

Basically I didnt put credits on my sim card for long time and they disabled my number and now I cant receive 2FA SMS messages anymore so I cant login to my account.

I requested 2 FA removal and blockchain support told me its automatic process and usually it takes from 1 month to few days. Mine will be approved on 30th of march so I'll see if they deny me or accept me

just like how you remove 2fa from google account, i think blockchain have same procedure.
as long as you can provide convincing information about your blockchain wallet account and they think it is match, they will reset it ithink........but not sure.
just a suggestion, next time never put over 1 btc in online wallet, use a desktop client wallet.

I-ve talked to carrier again and they told me i can get number back if i get on contract with them for 12 months. So if they dont reset my 2fa ill just sign contract..

Also yeah i figured that out, I bought trezor which will do fine for btc storing

Im sorry to here that now you should learn dont put high amount of btc to online wallet like this.. Or be updated if you have lots of bitcoins save in web wallet make sure you fix all your things like sim card because its very important thing that you can receive the 2fa number..
I think you can still get it back just always to the support...

Didn't you save the mnemonic they provided you with? If not, that was a really dumb thing to do.

That's why you use Authy or G-auth, they work without an internet connection.
