...for the SystemD markets in foodstuff.  Walmart is going to have real trouble keeping these products on the official shelves while product keeps falling off the back of the shipping truck.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

- Carroll Quigley, CFR member, mentor to Bill Clinton, from 'Tragedy And Hope'

Wasn't Tradehill based in Argentina? Wish they had stuck around.

Do not waste your time debating whether Bitcoin can work. It does work.

"Early adopters will profit" is not a sufficient condition to classify something as a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. If it was, Apple and Microsoft stock are Ponzi schemes.

There is no such thing as "market manipulation." There is only buying and selling.

the economic collapse blog has articles about the end of the american economy?  No WAY!

I don't disagree that the economy is in a swan dive (albeit almost secretly), but I would never trust such a source.  I mean, confirmation bias much?

Well, keep shooting the messenger if that makes you feel better.
But you can find similar analyses on a number of different sites, and you can check the employment rate trend by yourself.

Argentina is such a economic mess.  They refuse to pay certain debt holders so they get their assets seized all over the world.  It is very cheap to move there and sell bitcoin for living expenses.

I looked for an opposing analysis than the typical one we hear from the media here that says Argentina is a "economic basket case", with hysteria about price controls and protests.

http://www.economonitor.com/blog/2011/10/the-verboten-story-of-argentina%E2%80%99s-post-default-economic-success/
http://www.economonitor.com/lrwray/2012/10/09/mmt-argentina-and-views-on-inflation/

These articles have some good points.  We are talking about a country with the highest per capita GDP in South America.  It has had a super high rate of growth for ten years.  Obviously they are not a "basket case".  Who cares if they run up debt and then restructure to only pay back 30%.  They are pillaging the world.  But it is rather funny that debt collectors try to seize the presidential aircraft and navy vessels when they leave the country.

Tradehill is back in business. Their prime account is an excellent option for dealing with $10k+ transactions. I think Jered is in San Fransisco.
