According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Jeez, and people were calling me paranoid when I said they would go after the exchanges first...

This was to be expected, maybe not this fast, but certainly sooner rather than later.

EAs who have cashed high dollars - get out of the country while you still can.

Still, I hope for the traders' sake that they all stay blissfully Van free...

Enjoy it while it lasts, gents, this is still the golden age for the wild wild BTC west Smiley

It takes me 3-5 days to transfer money from BoA to Dwolla.
It takes me ~1 day to transfer from Dwolla to MtGox.
It takes me ~4 hours to make a transaction and see it updated in my BTC client.

Yeah..the entire process is dog slow.

Dwolla withdraw delayed for technical reasons, will be fixed friday! Withdraws are not lost, just pending.

No need to panic  Smiley

thanks dude.   No explanation from Mtgox or Dwolla.

They actually did explain it on Reddit, and in IRC.

Dwolla is working fine on www.tradehill.com

Lots of volume already.
If we take a bit to get back to you it's due to high volume.
We will get back to you ASAP.

You have to realize this is the beginning. Before, Mt Gox had to manually do things in order to complete orders for dwolla. Just recently they have begun to automate things. Have patience.
