Anyone else having issues with looking up transactions or addresses on the blockchain? I can't seem to do it from anywhere, and my Bitcoin-qt platform seems to think I need to upgrade even though I'm running the latest version. I'm a little nervous because I wanted to send a transaction, and I can't even double check that I have the BTC in the right address. Normally I could at least do that.

Error I get from blockchain.info:

Quote
Communications link failure The last packet successfully received from the server was 2,325,915 milliseconds ago. The last packet sent successfully to the server was 2,315,876 milliseconds ago.

At least other people are having issues also. I don't know if that's normal or not.

I'm more worried about my bitcoin-qt wallet not syncing and giving the "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade." I suppose I could still send a transaction, I just don't have a way to verify it.

Anyone know of any alternatives to blockchain.info.

I use their address balance lookup API to verify if payments have been sent, for example:
http://blockchain.info/q/addressbalance/XXXXXXXXXXXX?confirmations=6

But lately their server seems to be down a lot.

I just need to be able to lookup the confirmed balance of any given address.

That pretty much always happens. The other pages work, though.

Maybe use one as a fallback for the other.

I looked at that but the problem is the balance shows up even with zero confirmations (so it's not a "confirmed" balance)

You can tell its not working as the last transaction showing is over an hour and a half old.

That doesn't seem to work, for example:
http://blockexplorer.com/q/addressbalance/1Luo5XyHWJKG4nZ2nAT3GyZUV67CHYvNrw/50

That transaction only has 17 confirmations, but it still shows a balance when entering any confirmation number (50,100,1000, etc...)
