why Total logged time is difference from actual time?

I'm doubt I have logged bitcointalk.org for 5 hours. But the page showing that Total time logged in: 2 hours and 23 minutes. Are there any one know why?

It only counts when you are active.

If you didn't load a new page for some time (I think 10 min) it stops counting.

So just leaving the browser open doesn't work.
