Yes, if the savior is already having a good bonus, and according to the amount he deposited. I really think these mechanisms are great. Participating the first time really give a lot of bonuses for the next jump, it would not surprise me if this dapp is still fresh in a month !  |

If my understanding is right, the person that manages to free the current stuck adventurer will share his payoff, is that right ?
There is a certain criteria. It's only shared if the person being saved made a 20+% profit and the person saving deposited at least 5 ethers. The amount shared is random, but also depends on how big the saviour's deposit is (max 50% if you deposit 40+ ethers). In the best case scenario you get most of your deposit back right away by saving a big payout. The person being saved will always earn at least 10% of their deposit. The cool thing about shares is that you get them right away if your deposit saved someone. |

I don't know, the ethereum community isn't very big... mostly got hate on the ethereum forum and on reddit the post dies after 24h; maybe trollboxes of exchanges and social media. I'm working on the website and some side projects so I don't have a lot of time to advertise, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on the situation. Once I finish what I'm working on I'll try more aggressive promotion campaigns, since the new website features will be quite attractive to people. |

Yes you are right.
Big deposits on big payout are rewarding.
People that will deposit like 20 Eth now, will have a lot of bonuses.

I restarted the server and checked from 3 different devices and the website works normally, is anyone else having this problem? Try clearing your cache/cookies or hard-refreshing the page to see what happens. Edit: I found a problem with a mobile plugin and removed it, it should have fixed the issue. Please let me know if the problem persists or you find some other, and thanks for letting me know! I'll be moving the website to another server soon, it should speed things up a lot. |

So far the Greed Pit has issued approximately 638.489 Ether in payouts!  The next payout will be the largest one in the queue, at 79.5 Ether. Anyone entering The Pit after entries[30] escapes will reach the front of the line after the next 310.989 payouts are delivered to entries[31] - entries[66]. Food for thought  |

Nice to see something a little more original. All the the copy & paste contracts have been getting annoying. Everything seems to be working as it should but its odd that etherscan.io isn't showing all the out going payments correctly, but on etherscan if you look at the hash for incoming transactions you can see the payments are being made.
Thanks, I've been working on this for a while, I was also sick of all the shameless copy paste going on, not to mention the scams. I just noticed that the outgoing transactions aren't showing on etherscan, too. I don't know why, but I've already received payments and some people are going in hard and reinvesting, so it seems to be working well. Many new users joined, which really helps. In case people are unaware: with the current number of people trapped you'll get 2 tokens/save with a 20ETH deposit, and 3 with a 40ETH deposit. That basically makes it quite easy for you to get an extra x0.3 on your next deposit just by saving one person. There are a couple medium-sized payouts coming soon, but it's mostly lots of small ones, so take the chance before someone else does (x3 bonus gone at <25 people trapped and x2 bonus gone at <15). Payouts are lowered dynamically when the pit gets too crowded, so those rescue tokens are very valuable. With them you don't have to rely on luck to get a nice return. |
