yeah but still, when you read the topic "quickly", it gives a bad image even if not justified. And I don't think people will take the time to review the whole story, etc. (even when you're on this board since the beginning of these Dapps, it is not always easy to distinguish legit from BS)
Maybe a new thread or self-moderated one ?

the only true way to distinguish legit from BS is to read the dapps code.
Once you can do that, there is no more BS Smiley

edit : btw I'm proud to be atm the last one that got out of the pit Smiley

Agreed, unfortunately when the dapp is more than a simple ponzi, it becomes harder for potential investors who are not always tech-proficient to understand. In some way, it reduces the amount of investors.
Having a way to vote for legit dapps verified by the community would be a panacea but this would probably be overran by scammers as well

I think if you read the topic quickly, you get a really good image.

The presentation is very good, the website is appealing. Everything is good.
The shit happened in pages 6/7.

THE GREED PIT will live ! Cheesy

It seems the website went offline because meteor is a piece of crap that requires 10 times the memory it should. I'm moving the website the another server with more memory, hopefully that'll put an end to unexpected downtimes.

Edit: Live again. This will also result in the website loading 1-3 seconds faster Smiley

If you don't like pay walls check out my new app LuckyDoubler: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1447675.0

It's like a pyramid but without a queue; the payout is picked at random from existing unpaid entries. That means that you can get your profit right away if you get lucky. Everyone has the same chances to win.

There was a 5ETH deposit recently, which means that the contract will be around for a minimum of 69 more days (in reality I don't have plans to end the contract anytime soon, anyway). If you were paranoid about the recycle function, now's as safe as it gets.

I want to remind everyone that joining now can award you up to 3x rescue tokens if your deposit saves someone (check the code for requirements), that means that your multiplier would increase substantially on your next jump.

Anyway, for some reason my latest app went unnoticed by most people, I'd really appreciate it if you guys gave it a try or at least left some comment on the thread, as I believe it's quite interesting and unique, and it arguably has more potential than my other apps: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1467743.0

Yes you could say so, a ponzi scheme is a risky investment.

Personnaly i invested in it, i hope it will continue as it is one or the best ponzi out there, i think. With ETH violently gaining back popularity, i'm not too much worried. Cheesy

A Ponzi scheme (also a Ponzi game or a Ponzi)[1] is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned through legitimate sources. Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent.
