I was sent .75 from a friend, and then it disappeared, but whats stranger is that the entire transaction is gone from both of our histories. It was done blockchain to blockchain so maybe he canceled it and is lying. I don't know if that is possible. But when I told him he sent me .4 right away, so it seems a little guilty tbh. (he owes me like 5k cash)

I really want to get to the bottom of this, so I dont know what to do? Its not the money, I want to know what happened. There is no transaction in my account nor on the screen shot he sent me.

I asked for my entire account records from blockchain, but haven't heard back.

That doesn't make sense.
If the person sent you the bitcoins, you should request that he/she provide you the Transaction ID.

If they can not provide the Transaction ID, they did not send it to you. Plain and simple.

Does your friend state that the funds are gone from his address, or that they were returned to him?

I support a decentralized & unregulatable ledger first, with safe scaling over time.

What is your bitcoin address? You can look it up on http://blockchain.info and see whether or not he sent it. If there is no transaction for that amount then he did not send it.

It isn't possible to undo a transaction in BTC.

Just ask for screen shots of his account, find it hard to believe there would be no record in both accounts. If it did vanish it would still at worst show in his records.

You hint at trustworthiness and debt and I think you already know the answer before posting it. Ask for a screen shot from him and see what happens.

But it was in my account! I know it doesnt make sense. I saw it and i checked back a few days later (today) and it was gone,... but the account wasnt depleted, just the .75 was missing. I need to hire like an expert/lawyer. I dont care if it costs me 50X the transaction amount! I need to find out exactly what happened!

You said blockchain to blockchain, are you referring to a web wallet? If so then I would suggest emailing their support and seeing what is wrong.

Answer questions:
1. Do you still see the btc address you provided your friend, in your wallet now?
2. Do you see the 0.75 btc being sent out of that wallet?
3. When you originally received the 0.75 btc, did you receive any confirmations?

Do you still remember if the transaction has any confirmations? If there were no confirmations, the fee might be too low and nodes have dropped them out of the mempool.

If you still remember the origin address, check if the balance is still there or another transaction replaced your transaction.

You should ask him to provide you an image that can actually be read. An image that small means he made it that way for a reason before sending it to you so it tells me he is hiding something.

An iPhone can take better screenshots than that.

Your address shows you successfully received the 0.4 BTC from him but that is it. 0.75 was not sent previously.

Is there any reason it would show .75 and then have it disappear? wheter he sent it or not. Because my account 100 percent had .75 in last I checked before today. Is there a lawyer I can talk to, because I want my account balance history sent to me from blockchain, because I am pissed off

No, you cannot talk to a lawyer and that will not fix anything.

What probably happened was that the transaction was sent with a low fee such that nodes probably wouldn't relay it. Then over a few days as it remains unconfirmed due to the low fee, it is dropped from nodes' mempools so the transaction is essentially forgotten by the network. The coins would have gone back to the sender as if that transaction had never happened.

Hiring a lawyer will do nothing for you unless you plan to take the guy to court for a civil matter and suing him for property (BTC) or money loss as you stated he owed you $5,000 in cash.

As for your account history, the link I posted previously is your account history.

No, Blockchain.info is just a service. They are not the Bitcoin blockchain nor do they have any power over Bitcoin. Confirmations come from miners and those miners are the only ones who decide whether your transaction goes into the blockchain or not.
