So if you want to sell a service or goods on here how do you embed a bitcoin payment button using MyBB. I have read on coindevelopers.com that you can make one for a site like a shopping cart. but im asking on how to make one for a forum sales thread

This forum doesn't use the MyBB forum software, it uses SMF. Therefore, it is extremely unlikely this is possible here.
The closest you could perhaps get on the forums is using Coinbase's payment buttons leading to a customized URL, which you can read more about here.
