You dont need to upload your identity to create a wallet, that's why bitcoin was created to use as pseudoanonymous,

Blockchain will never limit your account, even though you have lot of money out there by make some ilegall activity

for third question i think they're only want you real id not blockchain acount info, since the blockchain account  info only your address which is you can create or generate the addy as much as you can

I think hardly no one else created a wallet using their real info. And most of the online wallets only needs your mail ID just to recover wallet. And afaik, you don't need any personal info to create a wallet. And still if you feel, it's unsafe to provide even your mail ID, use some desktop wallet or mobile wallet instead.

I created my Coinbase account with real info. I think they need the information for identity verification as part of their AML commitment.

Anyway, I am not using bitcoin for illegal (or near illegal) transactions so I am fine with this.

There is no need for any identify for creating a wallet, you don't even need a name. Yeah some wallets like coinbase ask for it because they are trading website also. But if you create wallet on blockchain.info then you need almost nothing, just a email that too is optional. But I personally like the desktop wallet, they don't even need a email heh.

The nature of bitcoin is to be anonymous. It can't be that if you have to complete an identification. I think you don't have to do that as far as blockchain is concern. But when transferring to local exchange, there maybe some identification needed to level up an account and be able to withdraw more money.

As long as you take the back up, they can never hold your funds, even if they limit they account, which they will never do as they don't demand KYC information from the users.

I dont think people will create a wallet with their real info in that wallet, when in bitcoin you want to be anonymous as much as possible.

Just make sure you actually save the non real information if you ever need anything regarding service for that account. If you get locked out for instance, it may be needed to gain access (although it may be difficult if you don't have any id to back up your identity claim, but I guess anything can help).

You cannot go totally wrong providing some of your personal information like name imo, you also share it on facebook for instance.

well you can track the address in that wallet, to see what the person purchased with it, and track his name if he has done some purchase online

I've said it several times before, but i'll say it again: why do people use online wallets...
Please, do yourself a favour and download a desktop wallet... If you have time and diskspace, go for core, otherwise i'd suggest electrum.

This way, you have controll over your keys, nobody can limit your account or seize your funds, the only thing you should worry about is making a regular backup of your wallet.dat or writing down your electrum seed and keeping it safe Smiley

No, you don't need to use your actual identity to use an online wallet. but some countries may have some rules about using bitcoin. You better be aware of it. If your government is controlling the bitcoin market in your country and taxing it, it's better to be safe.

But by nature, bitcoin is anonymous. So, no verification is required.

Same thing with me. Have to give my real identity if for instance i need to give my government IDs for verification, I can then send my scanned files for it.
I usually provide my real name when registering to a legit business after all I don't intend to do something crazy. Bitpay as far as i know asks for real info and so i did.

i think most of the people won't create their bitcoin wallet with real info.. once wallet is created it will provide an address for you.. as it is anonymous, it is not essential to give your name and other details..

I think mostly no one does this, unless they are really required for exchanges like Coinbase, Bitstamp, Kraken, etc... I think nobody should do it unless they're aware of what they're doing and they're doing it on their free will.

Blockchain will never limit your account, even though you have lot of money out there by make some ilegall activity

What are you trying to say here? That seems to be a pretty serious allegation without any proof.

The basic wallet with no special security features, will only require basic information. Once you enable some security features like 2FA and you link your cellphone as a verification option, your real identification is compromised. That is, if you not using a stolen cellphone. The US based services has to adhere to strict AML & KYC regulations and with them, you will have to provide much more information to be able to use their services. The other sites try to give you the same level of anonymity as you might have had with cash.

I prefer not to use these online wallets, because they keep the private keys and whatever coins are stored on their services are not 100% safe.

Your real identity is needed only if you want to convert BTC to fiat, and even that is not needed everywhere.
The fact your identity was needed means that you used a 3rd party site to hold your wallet.

You can as well make as many wallets you want installing a wallet software on your computer. Really, as many as you want.
Blockchain doesn't limit you at all.

The only ones that can/may limit you are the 3rd party sites, usually related to banking services. But if that happens, you can find another such site quick enough.

And a bottom line: the 3rd party sites is usually the least secure way to hold your bitcoin. If the amount is small, you are fine. If the amount grows, please study more and find safer ways.

I know Coinbase and possibly most of them will need some legit id if you want to withdraw fiat or deposit fiat, I have not reached that level just yet but when I need to I will just have to follow their process, at the moment it is hard to survive purely on bitcoin.
