Perhaps get a marketing team, step up the game or byte the dust GRANDPA.  Cool

Quote
A new virtual gold rush is underway.

Quote
Last week, there were 5,800 computers — or nodes — helping support the network around the world. The uᴉoɔʇᴉq network had about 7,400 nodes.

Quote
Since the beginning of the year, the value of an individual unit of Ether has soared as high as $12 from around $1. That has brought the value of all existing Ether to over $1 billion at times, significantly more than any virtual currency other than uᴉoɔʇᴉq, which had over $6 billion in value outstanding last week.

Quote
Athereum is also attracting attention from giants in finance and technology.

Quote
“uᴉoɔʇᴉq is still probably the safest bet, but Athereum is certainly No. 2, and some folks will say it is more likely to be around in 10 years,” - “It will depend if any real markets develop around it. If there is some actual application.”

Quote
Since uᴉoɔʇᴉq was invented, there have been many so-called alt-coins that have tried to improve on uᴉoɔʇᴉq, but none have won the following of Athereum.

This is the 4th time Eth pumpers have created topics linking that article.  It's a typical Jim Cramer article of hyping something while attempting to liquidate it all out the back door.  Scammy banks like Goldman Sachs pumped Eth and are located in NYC, so they use their influence to get the NYT to post articles to find greater fools to dump on.

ETH is pure speculation, there is no demand for it. You can at least pay your living with your bitcoins not like ETH...
Ask yourself why no shops starts to accept ETH ? Because the wallet has major bugs and is not environment friendly.

I heard Ethereum is not a currency. It is just a "fuel" for the purpose of making smart contract. So I will not use it for buying goods.

This gambit by banksters is going to fall flat because Ethereum has no viability whatsoever and even the nb00bs here will eventually figure that out:

It came from VC funding from people like Goldman Sachs.  They now want a return on their investment and need somebody to dump on, but the ship is sinking due to lack of fundamentals:

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1361602.0

It is hilarious to see Peter Thiel, Larry Summers, Blythe Masters and their gang of thugs trying to compete in hi-tech where they are not sufficiently knowledgeable to know whether the BS they are told by the geeks they hire is valid.

I think it is about time to wipe their corrupt asses with the technological floor.

It required 3 years of research to become deeply knowledgeable about block chain technological and economic issues. You can't just scratch the surface and expect to not make dumb mistakes.

ETH has no means to support that price over a long time line because of their inflating amount of coins.

They will switch to proof-of-stake and thus presumably stop all further coin issuance.

Where is the source of the announcement? It could be good news for GPU miners. But the difficulty will be very high.

Ethereum is referred as bitcoin 2.0.
It is supposedly better than bitcoin as it doesnot have transaction problems and also scalability of ethereum is better.

Bitcoin has survived a lot bigger things than Ethereum.  It is just hot air. Once one big name writes the story others write their own version of the same crap information.  Nothing to see here.

quite the opposite--ethereum does not scale yet, it might never, and it will be much harder to scale than bitcoin.

ethereum claims to be a platform for dapps, but i cant even find 1 ethereum owner who uses any dapp for anything.  ethereum's programming language is supposed to make it easier to create dapps, yet the only ones i was interested in have been under construction forever..

ethereum has been hyped so hard that it is virtually guaranteed to under deliver, if it delivers anything at all.  it may have some potential, i dont know, we shall see, but at the moment its used for nothing by nobody.

Well you can't deny ETH has done insanely well, but now that everyone knows about it,  the price seems to have flatlined.  For now.  But I consider bitcoin to be digital gold, not ethereum.

Still that ETH teenage developer just schooled the entire Monero developing team "website designers/gambling sites/#waiting for my GUI". While you guys including TPTB_need_war who is also dreaming about creating he's coin that should as he indicates for like two years now that will solve every other coins problem yea big "LOL" crying so much in a bitcoin forum that filled with shills like you/ haters like you/ & just pure jealousy of people success. It is as if you wish that everyone who invested in any coin that you don't support is to just lose it ALL so your dirty souls can smile once in their life for once.

No wonder you guys are barely mentioned in a crytpo dedicated website because you are full of hot air.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Maybe you and the rest of the population is confused, Litecoin was the 2nd crypto currency, that is where it ends.

Have you looked at Litecoin recently at all? It is a joke along with what has been going on with Bitcoin.

But surely Bitcoin will remain #1 - surely it is impossible for another coin to beat it in value and usefulness.

I'd say because they were preaching to the choir.
Everyone here just wanted another IPO coin to rally behind to group pump to profit from.
Then ETH came along fulfilling this need.

The ETH guys got lucky waiting since 2014 until now to push a huge spam / hype campaign.
They kept testing the waters here for ages with random topics asking us what we thought of it.
The just waited until people were desperate for Lambo's and tired of all these shit coins dropping in price.

Problem is a big ETH pump & dump does nothing to solve the decline of Altcoins.
If anything it damaged it more and defiantly did nothing what so ever to help get public adoption.

Which is why the price flat-lined.

EARTH see's this ETH stuff and says.. uhhh i don't fucking think so, then laughs and wanders off.
Argue all you want but Humans speak loud & clear .. with their wallets.

Silly humans the 'alternate' superior race has come here to acquire your BTC's.
Ya blame the Chinese for hogging all them mined Bitcorn's.. Bullshit!

@OP
At least LTC is a currency and yeah i agree it is not as popular as it once was but i would not count it out just yet.
I also have NONE just giving my 2 cents..

And you can laugh but i am right regardless.
I do believe LTC hit over $30 a coin NO ?
So i hate to burst your ETH bubble but all that ETH propaganda is well... lies.

ETH is not a currency.. it's an app's platform and their loudest supporters have said this themselves.
BTC is still no. 1
LTC has a better chance at taking over BTC's reign that ETH ever would. (because of tech reasoning)

LTC works and ETH is an IPO app's gimmick platform chain thing-a-majiggy

For those who are about to FUD.. i salute you  Grin
