Note: I am not going to name a particular gaming site, since I have seen similar at even the most reputable places.

Long story made short:
I am enjoying playing small amounts at a site which is "provably fair" and no one has ever proven otherwise.
In the chat, a 'high-rank Whale' comes in to complain about an UNBELIEVABLE losing streak. He/she goes as far as saying to the admin "I really wish I could believe you" (or something very similar), regarding the fairness of the games.

What do you think of that?
Gambling can be harmless play for people who are able to afford controlled amounts.
If you are (for example) a super-wealthy early BTC miner who is rapidly turning $29,000,000 ($29 Million Dollars) into nothing, then do you really have the right to falsely accuse a site of being crooked?
Why not offer a $10,000 bounty to prove the site is cheating, while you can still afford to share your good fortune?

Please, quit whining and enjoy the games, or cure your addiction.
^^^
1) Is the above statement too harsh, towards our friendly whales who sometimes throw tips around?  Cheesy
2) Do you think the sites you play at are honest?
3) If you think the site is honest, and a Whale complains do you say anything?

There is a lot of content to discuss, please do not think you need to answer all the questions.

I agree with you, however I don't think that is going to change regardless of what you do.  People absolutely love to complain, even more so on the internet when they do have to be face to face with anyone.  Basically disregard human emotion because you are talking to a computer, not a person.

1.  My advice is, just ignore them.  Nothing will change their behavior,
2.  The site is probably fine, more than likely anyway.
3.  Like I said before, nothing you say will make them see any sense, so just ignore them.  /mute option maybe

A lot of people have weaknesses and it doesn't matter how rich you are, you may still succumb to them. It just depends, are they really whales or is it more likely they are normal people who thought they could beat the odds with this months pay check. These people will be losing money in an equal fashion whether you are playing besides them or not, so you must ignore other players losing streaks.

I dont understand this, why do someone play there a lot if the site is not provably fair? Why they dont even check the provably fair before play there?

Gambling can be harmless play for people who are able to afford controlled amounts.

Offering something like that for big whale? I dont think it is still useful because the first thing is he has more money than what that particular site offer. And what is the benefit if he find out that that site is fake? The second thing is he already loses everything there so there is no point again

I dont think it is harsh because from site that I played big their big whale never complaint anything although they are in lose. They already check everything well before they start to play there so I think big whale that you mentioned about is too stupid to start gambling

This applies to everyone, unless you can prove that a gambling site is cheating, then there is no point in pointing fingers and it doesn't matter if you're a whale or not, you won't be taken seriously. Instead of doing that, they should take note of their rolls and verify those.

But on a lighter note, most gamblers after losing a big chunk gets fiesty, so unless they're not doing it over, its okay to allow them to let off some steam and ignore them but if they're out of control, its better to mute them from the troll box for the time being, until they're calm.

whining is a part of losing, and the more they lose the more it hurts so they whine much more than us who lose small amounts.
and sometimes when you encounter a big losing streak with a chance like 50% (49.9%) it really feels like you are being cheated when you see 20 reds in a row. they just have to accept the fact that this is what it is and stop gambling if they can't accept the loss.
and we should just ignore them.

I'm a small amount gambler enjoyer as well and would like to add a cpuple of question hoping not to be too offtopic:

 - if you were such a whale like the one hypothesized in first post would you still gamble?

 - do you really (OP)  witnessed a $28M loss (please tell me no or I will bump my head somewhere sharp)?

Anyway I find the " cure you additiction" part quite suitable in such cases: big loser+whiners on provably fair games.

yup, whenever you lose something very big, you will tend to find excuses to make you feel better about your loss. I never hear before whale complaining that they are winning too much until it is not fair in their favour. But when they lose, they will end up complaining. And actually it is not weird to have 20 streak of losing in the long run if you play long enough.

This is what i notice the most, if we can experience upto 22 losing streaks (based on my own experience) why dont we experience the other way around, and get a winning streak the highest winning streak i get is 8 winning streak. and then suffer a big loss after that,

That's probably the best thing to say directly, Anyone opening chat in a gambling website knows about it and if the odds were impossible to lose then there wouldn't be any positive odds for winning, in Sportbooks people the match is fixed like it's impossible for that match to be normal if it's a loss of money for that player.

You will never get winning streak higher than losing streak because each games there will be house edge which means in a long game you will suffer a many losing streak. That is why you need some strategy at least you can recover your loss or even get back what you lose on that long streak. This kind of games is depends on your luck too when you played it

Some people are just idiots by nature. They can become rich by luck or special life events (in this case being early adopter and basically almost magically become millionaires over couple years after btc was introduced). Gambling is a risk, if you have 50% chance of winning that doesn't mean that after 4 lost bets you will win for sure - that is basic gambler's fallacy.
Apparently bitcoin whales are not immune to that mistake.

Haven't met a whale in the website I've been playing on whining about 10-50btc loss. They are all just like, "It's okay, I'm only playing here for entertainment". Most of the whales I've seen can lose a lot and then get back to positive profit in no time. I kind of think they are professional gamblers in real life.

If websites implemented the $10,000 if you prove that it's not fair, they probably wouldn't even pay up because they were provably fair in the first place which could mean their entire intention was to scam. Sometimes people have to vent after losing lots of money. I do, however, think this is a problem that some people are falsely accusing a website for being false, but I don't think there's much one can do about it (besides having moderators which many websites already have).

There are whales and there are pretending to be whales. They are not the legit kind of whales if they are posting here, venting out about their loses. Whales know how to lose and move on. Those who complain are the one who pretends that they are whales.

exact to the point if they are real whales they just move on and dive deep again then regain the breath but in that scenario sir I think that this gambler just wanted to controlled or to treat as special to that specific gambling site he maybe just wanted to be noticed, he knows that he is on a gambling site and the site itself have their own team to prove the fairness of the site. i like the idea of renting someone to prove the fairness of the site. 10k is worthy for us. hehehe.

no, they are whales. but they are kids who can't handle losing and think gambling is a way of getting rich.

usually the casinos show you the stats of their users for example in PrimeDice when you click on the name of someone you can see their stats like total wagered, total profit, total bets made so you can guess how big a whale they are.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Why not offer a $10,000 bounty to prove the site is cheating, while you can still afford to share your good fortune?
Wouldn't the site actually be able to go around this? The gambling site can just go and say that they are provably fair and take all that $10,000 like poof! All gone for nothing. You might be suggesting some other things like looking into the scripts/codes but I don't think that's legal. Or maybe I'm missing something here?
