I need help. I purchased $490 worth of bitcoin from bit instant on Monday and received it. I bought an additional $490 on Tuesday and never received it. On Wednesday I wrote to technical support and got a response from Rachel stating that my issue had been turned over to tech support and I would have my money later that day. It is Thursday evening and I haven't received anything, I wrote another e-mail earlier today and didn't get a response. I am very annoyed considering I paid a premium to have my bit coins as soon as possible and going on 4 days later I have nothing. Also, I assume that when this does eventually get resolved I will receive the full original amount and not the current market price, correct? Thanks for any help you can provide. -Doc

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Try posting here if you haven't already: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128314.0

I don't know about anyone else but my order has failed every time I've placed a BitInstant order using Dwolla.  Contacting customer support always cleared it up but sometimes it takes a couple days.

I think you'll get current market price whenever they process your order.  I'd recommend using MtGox and transferring funds in using Dwolla; that way you know exactly what rate you're buying at.

Good luck!
