when i click on OK i get:

EXCEPTION: 11DBException

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Downloading the blockchain takes about half a GB.  Check your hard drive space and delete crud you don't need.

Always try to keep your hard drive under 80% full, otherwise heavy thrashing and data loss can occur.

If your drive really is running out of space I am surprised the computer is still booting.

Check the file permissions then, maybe it cannot read/write?

Check S.M.A.R.T status of your drive with HWINFO or Speccy, it may be failing.

Back up your data.

Quick answer:

SHUT DOWN Bitcoin completely, including out of the tray (assuming you're able to start it in the first place)

SAVE wallet.dat (make an extra backup to a USB flash drive while you're at it - this is your coins)

DELETE all of the other files in the folder, leaving only wallet.dat behind

Restart Bitcoin

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Let it download the entire block chain and everything will come back as confirmed. Might take an hour or two, just let it run and be patient!
