I finally gave in and bought some bitcoin (2 to be exact). I'm a little confused as to what I can spend it on. I've searched all day yesterday online for what I can buy but found nothing except a coffee shop in city centre of Dublin. I searched here as well but found most of the posts are related to the US. If anyone from Ireland or Europe could help me out that would be amazing, or if you're from outside Europe but have any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks everyone, Ciara.

Lots of places you can spend bitcoin online. Just make sure where you are buying stuff from is reputable as bitcoin is a one way transaction.

Bitcoin finds better usage, when u use it online. Using bitcoin...
i. U may get 10-20% discount on Amazon products through Purse.io.
ii. U may buy domains from NameCheap/Gandi.
iii. U may try cloud mining to grow your coins.
iv. U may gamble a bit to check your luck.
Once u start searching about how can u use that 2 BTC online, u'll find ample of things to be done...

You can use Purse.io to buy anything you want from Amazon, and you will get a 5-25% discount for spending bitcoin. Also, spendabit.co is a search engine to let you find a merchants who accept bitcoin.

Thanks everyone.
I signed up with Pulse.IO and I'm not exactly sure how I get the discount. Does someone else pay it and get a reward somehow. That's my understanding.
Sorry for the questions but I'm not the most technical.

You can get a base 5% discount on anything by just typing the product into the search bar. If you want a higher discount, go to amazon and pick out your product then add it to your amazon wishlist. Paste a link to your wishlist into the search bar on purse to select the discount you want, then you have to wait for a buyer. Most of the time you can get 15-25% off if you wait a few days.

Ah thank you, that was quick. I'm sure I'll figure it out quick enough.

You are right, there are only a few physical places where you can spend your Bitcoin. The best spending option is the www right now, what means like sports betting, gambling and so on. Nevertheless, I had the same problem and I added this sites to my browser favs: http://www.coindesk.com/information/what-can-you-buy-with-bitcoins/ (gives a good overview) https://coinmap.org (best site imho)

Hey everyone, thanks again. I'm starting to figure it all out. I'm really having trouble with the whole lack of physical shops. Most of them in my area are hipster cafés . I'm sure more choices will pop up eventually though. BTC Again everybody, thanks a mill. I'm sure I'll be frequenting these forums enough and annoying people with newbie questions. lol

Since you've got the answers that you are looking for, I suggest you lock the thread to prevent further replies. You can do this by clicking the "lock topic" button in the bottom left corner.

Ah thank you, that was quick. I'm sure I'll figure it out quick enough. yes, it could be quick ... but only if you ask for a 5$ discount, in the case you ask a bigger discount, ( like 15% or more ) then, ......... wait... and wait again..
