I have been checking some of the details on Coinmarketcap and found that the API is listing different figures to their main page...

Here is the link for the coinmarket API http://coinmarketcap-nexuist.rhcloud.com/api/rbt/
Here is the relevant information from the API
"symbol":"rbt","position":"52","name":"Rimbit","market_cap":

However, the front page has us listed at 44 -45

I just tested it with other coins and found they too are being reported falsely...
I wonder why they are doing this...

I have always wondered why Coingecko was reporting incorrect data, compared to coinmarketcap... Perhaps this is the reason

To my understanding coinmarketcap API refreshes small coins much, much less frequently compared to more popular coins. Or it's a bug.

Do you think it could be coins that have since been removed, still taking up positions?

Low volume coins are also excluded from the main listing on the site, but still listed underneath the others, so they are probably included in the API.
