I think you're onto something there. Knowing that your money will not wash off for something you had nothing to do with is like sucking on a peppermint and then taking in a huge breath of air. For me, I just like that nobody can tell me what to do with my money; it is truly mine, in every way, and it will always be that way until I decide who gets it next. So I'm a lot more willing to work for a currency which isn't owned by some faceless entity and can be taken on whim, and a lot more willing to spend on something or someone who will treasure the bitcoin a lot more than anything else, and I believe that last part also plays a role in work ethic. The more work there is to be had, the better, which might be upstream for bitcoin, as the trend appears to be save, save, save. Hopefully that'll change once more places start accepting bitcoin and it begins to overtake a country's prescribed government-controlled-by-bank currency--not for a long time, if ever, I think. Not without resistance, anyway.
But with all that said, I do feel more inclined to work for someone who is paying in digital gold, than a currency which inflates artificially. Even if I was doing one of the mundane tasks such as working a cash register or restocking at minimum wage, at least I'd take solace in knowing my time wasn't going to waste.
