Seems like the account is untouched by checking the log  try resetting the password via email if you have the access for your email set on your account.

Yes.
Did you end up selling it?
No.

My suspicion is that my password manager utility shit itself at that time (or I mismanaged something somehow). Hasn't happened again with my account.

What do you mean by not accessible? Is your account banned, locked or something?
I suggest you read the 'Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords' thread, and send all required info with the template provided to theymos.

I guess theymos has a lot of workload and gets little time to check all account recovery request.Time to delegate some of this privileges to moderators.It will make theymos job easy and also members who lost there accounts will get them back sooner

The trouble with that is the info needed to be able to successfully investigate and return accounts is only available and trusted to admins and even then it's not a huge priority as frustrating as that might be for users. I think we could do with another admin though especially if BadBear doesn't plan on returning from hibernation anytime soon. Hopefully he will but like I said probably more pressing matters to deal with.
