Hi everyone. I'm looking to buy 1 BFL Single SC pre-order. The earlier the order the better. I haven't decided yet but I may also accept the "little" single SC or jalapeno but preference goes to the normal 60 GH/s Single SC.

I'd prefer US or Canadian sellers as this should minimize shipping costs. Also I would like to use escrow with a designated escrow agent to be mutually agreed upon.

Please PM me or post here your offers (ie your asking price). If I agree to it I will PM you and we will get the ball rolling. Payment will of course be in BTC only.

What pricerange are you looking to pay?  Because I'd sell my first-day SC order for $10,000 in an instant, but have a feeling you're looking for something a wee bit cheaper than that.  At least give us an idea of what you would consider reasonable.

No doubt you would Smiley but if I understand things correctly due to the 1/3 shipping policy I don't think there would be that great an advantage to being first in line. So in that light I think a more reasonable price range would be in the $1299 to $2000 range or maybe a little bit more than $2K.

Ok, thanks for the specifics.  I'm not interested in letting mine go for that cheap, but I hope you find a seller.  Wink

$2000 = ~86 BTC? You'd make more than that just mining in the first month. That's the problem when people sell Bitcoin hardware in USD.

The proper value should be Price of buying a unit now + BTC earned by buying a unit now vs waiting the extra 2 months for the 2nd or 3rd batch.

Buying one directly from BFL is ~58BTC. How much you can earn in 2 months is still up in the air, but it depends on the network growth.

Network right now has been ~25THs. Avalon is supposed to have shipped ~20Ths, so maybe we'll see those in the next 2 months. BFL cut their initial shipment in half, so I'm guess they'll ship ~60-80TH/s. That puts us at about 5-6x the current difficulty. This means each of the Singles will earn anywhere from 70BTC/week, down to about 30BTC/week. So why would I sell it to you for only 86BTC?

And yes, I do have a few early orders that I might be tempted to sell, as I've done in the past, but only if the numbers make sense.

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

Actually now that it looks like BFL is less of a scam and more than 80 to 90% likely to deliver somewhat on time I guess it does not make as much sense for someone to sell their pre-order unless they are a) desperate for quick cash or b) looking to make a substantial profit or c) looking to recover their high price paid for the pre-order back in June/July when the BTC price was low.

The idea was that whoever buy your pre-order is taking on the risk that BFL will not deliver but now that's not likely to be as big of a risk. As they say timing is everything.

One big problem I see is how do you properly value an unknown quantity such as the amount of BTC one is expected to earn. Taking into account a 30 BTC / week earning potential the 200 BTC offering seems more realistic. I'll have to think about this some more.

I have a July 5th order #28xx. I don't need the quick cash, but I could use the money to invest in other things. I really don't want to sell because I miss mining and sold my gpu's shortly after preordering. A 200btc offer would make me reconsider though.

You can also look at it this way. If the device is worth say 50btc later, then you only need to mine 150btc to break even.

I think 150btc would be a fair asking price, but not enough to make me consider selling mine.

I would also be keeping whatever deal BFL is going to give some early preorders, if I get that.

I wonder if your July order is likely to be in the first batch of shipments.

I've gotten questions on how many pre-orders I have and what the order numbers are, so here ya go:

#18XX ordered 1 single SC upgrade on June 23/24

No order number, but arranged for 4 upgrades July 2 (converted an FPGA order into single SC upgrade for 4 units)

#62XX ordered 6 single SC units on Aug 27

#11XXX ordered 4 single SC upgrades on Oct 21

This helps me remember what the heck I've ordered, haha.

I'd say I'm willing to sell my first unit for 200 BTC ($4,900) as I agree that's a fair price for it.  Please note I'm reserving my ability to reconsider as I don't know how I'll feel in the morning when I think about this again.

As for the order of 4, those are for some of my investors, and they've authorized me to sell their units for $3,500 or 143 BTC at today's rate.  I suspect these will be part of the 1/3 1/3 1/3 plan, but that's for you to guesstimate.

For order #62XX, 4 of these are mine, and I'm willing to part with them for $2,500 (or about 100 BTC at today's rate).

Not sure who'd be interested in the last one, but feel free to PM me a reasonable offer.

I will accept BTC only and reserve the right to change my mind in the AM.

Good luck everyone!  Exciting times!
