EDIT: This is the moment I decided to call $23.98961 being the top. Bitcoin was at 23.20 USD/BTC, Feb 10th 2013

I was aware that it touched 23.98 prior to this thread, that means I'm automatically winning because it's already falling. I'm just letting you know that I'm calling it in this range, and the price is 23.20 when I did it. Some think it will go up further, beyond the recent 23.98 high. I simply feel otherwise. Is this complicated for you? let me know.

I never said $23.20 was the top. $23.98 was the top, however I'm calling the top as being $23.98 even though it's $23.20 right now because I just checked the price. I mean who honestly monitors it 24/7? I haven't looked at the price in 15 hours. Do you think Bitcoin will go up further? Well good for you. I don't. SIMPLE.

Boo fucking hoo. Can you define what your "range" is? When we hit $30, you may as well say "but my range was $22.98-$35.00.." in a pathetic attempt to save face. You have no credibility, you didn't put any reason at all as to why you think we've hit the top, therefore you are full of shit.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

No, to people with common sense, "top" is just one single price. You didn't make it clear if the price will never hit $23.98, or just the general "price range"  you later throwed out but didn't even care to define. Otherwise how can we tell if you are right or wrong if the price retraces to, let's say $23.8 but not $23.98? So this is very important.

So we're already back up past the point where you "called it". If we hit 23.99, will you promise to shut up for a while while the grown ups talk? No? Didn't think so. Grin

Seriously. I've been here for a while now, I've observed that people who are so sure are often incorrect while the people who get it right are often unsure of their intuition in regards to the price of bitcoin.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

If you are so sure of bitcoin dropping, why don't you short it? You mentioned you have $3000 in which case you can send someone $2500 as collateral for an opportunity to short $1500 worth of bitcoins. Come on, pony up. Put your money where your mouth is.. oh wait you won't.

I'm not aware of any loans I have outstanding at this moment.  Someone with a grounded perspective do not make rash statements like your OP and take out funny loans that any respectable bank would deny. As for the ad-hominem attacks...  Roll Eyes

Hey, I offer you an opportunity to short bitcoins. Put in any amount of your USD as collateral, and I will lend you the coins. If the value of the coins exceed your collateral, I will immediately buy bitcoins with your money. What you borrow is up to you, I'm confident I can cover whatever USD you put up with.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I don't get it.  You think the value of bitcoins is going up, so you exchange your bitcoins for his USD?  Aren't you putting a lot of faith in him to send you back the coins if their value increases?

So let me get this straight.

ridgemont4 is a scammer who can't pay off his loans.

Thinks an inane post on bct will move the price.

Good luck paying off those loans when we hit 30 (oh right, you never had any intention of paying them back).

I don't get it.  You think the value of bitcoins is going up, so you exchange your bitcoins for his USD?

No. Say he has $2500 to play with, I then send him $2000 worth of coins at the current rate of $23.27, and give him 85.9476 BTC. At this rate, I owe him $500. Suppose Bitcon goes up to $25 each, then I multiply 25 with 85.9476 = $2148.69 at which point, I just whistle around and tap my foot. If Bitcoin goes $29.09 each, I buy bitcoins with his $2500 to replenish 85.9476 BTC in which case the deal is over. If Bitcoins go down, just buy back at a later date with single digits to replenish 85.9476 BTC and he can pocket the difference and I give his money back.

Obviously ridgemont4 is a village idiot, he knows he's wrong and won't accept my generous deal.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

The reason to read these boards - full of clowns Smiley

"XX.XX is the top!" (because I sold my 0.2 BTC there)

"Bitcoin price is going down to X$ for sure!" (because I only have X$ and want to have 1 coin)

"We are being manipulated!" (when the poster sees a price movement he was not expecting)

etc, countless variations. Very funny.

So let me get this straight.

ridgemont4 is a scammer who can't pay off his loans.

Thinks an inane post on bct will move the price.

Good luck paying off those loans when we hit 30 (oh right, you never had any intention of paying them back).

Welcome to bitcoin.

1) false. I have not taken any loan.

2) false. I am simply stating what I believe.

3) what? again, I did not take any loan, and my terms were that I pay back in the equivalent of the USD value when I received it.

4) fuck you.

I'm calling you out dude, you're a fraud. Your words have zero credibility. Nada. Zilch. Talk is cheap. I'm giving you my explicit blessing and opportunity to short bitcoins. Put your money where your mouth is and accept my offer!

I reject your offer and I won't tell you anymore times, you loser.
This proves it, you're a fraud. I hope Chang wasn't stupid enough to waste his coins.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

That would have been stupid eh? However, if that happened, why would I be posting here right now? Think about it. Go check his profile, he hasn't logged in since Jan. 23rd which was shortly after he posted in my thread. You're a very stupid person. I did not get any loans. How many times do I need to say the same thing over and over?

In summary this is what we reinforced about ridgemont4:

1.) He's mentally deficient in mathematics
2.) He's a fraud
3.) When running out of anything coherent to say, childish insults spew from his rear
4.) He's a fraud

This topic is now about cats.

Yes I did already, as you clearly haven't.
As a start, I'd suggest you read your own posts.
You seemed to have somehow typed them but not been able to read them Smiley
That's why I quoted you.
You specifically said $23.98
I see Gox saying the High is $23.99
Just coz you can't count, that doesn't make your incorrect mathematics correct.
You are of course wrong and no amount of swearing or childish name calling to attempt to hide your failure will make you seem any less of the dullard that everyone can clearly see that you are Smiley

I've been branded a troll many times so I'll chip in.

You are right, it's the weekend dip right now and we'll go for far higher tops next week, you can try and call them all. Perhaps use a different login so you don't keep embarrassing yourself like you are doing right now...

You can even use fuzzy math like "our ASIC will ship in a few weeks time for sure", this community is very forgiving and understanding.

Yeah:
< ozbot> Gox  | Buy: $23.93165 Sell: $23.95499 Last: $23.93165 High: $23.998 Low: $22.67

Give it a few more hours and it might be over $24

Of course just before the OP hops in and says something like "It was me! I made it go over $24 as planned" I'll also point out the obviousness of the fact that not only is the OP not the centre of interest of the world, he also have no effect even on the value of BTC. He is nothing Smiley

Edit:
< ozbot> Gox  | Buy: $23.99999 Sell: $24 Last: $23.99999 High: $24 Low: $22.67

Edit2:
< ozbot> Gox  | Buy: $24.01299 Sell: $24.04003 Last: $24.04004 High: $24.04004 Low: $22.67

Ok this thread is over now Smiley

I never said $23.20 was the top. $23.98 was the top, however I'm calling the top as being $23.98 even though it's $23.20 right now because I just checked the price. I mean who honestly monitors it 24/7? I haven't looked at the price in 15 hours. Do you think Bitcoin will go up further? Well good for you. I don't. SIMPLE.

Stating things clearly is too complicated for you I guess.

agreed it could go higer but it is a bubble right now.

And now this thread is about:

"Bitcoin has peaked for 2013. Sell all your coins and go away until January 1, 2014."

(Meanwhile I'll be adding to my BTC position at the nice, low prices.)

How much crow has this guy eaten since Feb?

Look at his post history, he's a scammer and likely had very few coins to begin with.

No! I am just such a tease.  Tongue

We are about to hit 10 bagger on hits "surrender" price, then there will be 100 bagger and 1000 bagger and 10 000 bagger. I just cannot pass on such an opportunity.

I guess it's too late for me now to join the Vladimir club.

Hey, I'm starting my own club. The Bowjob club. To qualify, you must own at least 210 BTC. That is 1% of 1% of 10% of all the BTC that will ever exist!

On a side note:

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Well then.. how did Vladimir Club came out to be?

Well it has nothing to do with me. I am surely not the one who came up with idea of the clubs and definitely not named one after myself. In fact I would prefer if was not named after myself particularly considering that I am basically broke and just trolling here.

Oh. I thought you were a bitcoin elite. Don't worry though, I feel that everyone who holds bitcoin now in 2013 will practically be a millionaire.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.
