All,
Is it possible for me to perform BTC mining from a Windows XP VM (valid Workstation 7 license) using my Radeon 5870?  I cant seem to get GUIMiner 5.21 to recognize anything beyond one processor on my host i7 machine.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or if it simply cannot be done?

James

Short answer - No.

Longer answer it's hypervisor type 2 so it makes calls to your operating system - it cannot access your hardware directly

Quit overthinking you problem  Wink You probably need to install the OpenCL sdk which should be included if you download and install the newest driver from AMD.com Smiley
