Hi All,

This just came in from google alerts;-

http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/acc/3604579148.html

I have to say, it made me smile with a bit of nostalgia, I hope no one takes him up on his offer though.

Seems like some idiot smart investor has actually send him two coins: http://blockchain.info/address/15a6BzXmUotQvRabDbDiTgR54zAh2KK63E

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

Pirate was capable of using capital letters and punctuation.  Interesting to see someone trying to operate a clone through Craigslist, though.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

And let me guess--Thomas Van Riper is going to run a similar Craigslist ad in Texas, this one stemming from New York.

Using the timestamp (above) as to when the ad was placed, I'd say Pastor Tom's had a few too many, then after speaking with da Lord in Tongues, he penned the following:

Quote
i have been taking bitcoins and paying 7 percent on your investment every week
serious inquires only ive been in business for almost two years
minimum bitcoin investment is 3 bit coins
you can send them to this address15a6BzXmUotQvRabDbDiTgR54zAh2KK63E
sending more than 10 bitcoins will result in a 10 percent return per week and i will give back the initial investment if you are unhappy
