I think bitcoin is fine as it is, as long as we find a solution to this blocksize cap soon. Because something needs do be done about it.

It's also the arrogance and stubbornness of bitcoin miners, thinking only of themselves (although that is what you would expect from a decentralised system)

We need to find the perfect balance of democracy and decentralization.

IMO, sometimes medias do the most damage to BTCitcoin and it's image as a whole. As soon as a criminal uses it, they use the opportunity to make it a big news and as result damage it's reputation (that's why some think BTCitcoin is used for illegal activities only). On the other hand the differences of some of developers and miners could have a saying as well but it's just temporary setback and eventually there will be a flawless community behind it.

I think bitcoin is still growing a lot, but the biggest problem IMO is the block size debate. it makes transactions slow and fees high, which was one of the biggest advantages of bitcoin.

Lack of knowledge, lack of awareness and lack of trust from the people is killing bitcoin as they get carried away with the news that they listen related to bitcoins.

Pretty much what umaOuma said, also the fact that it is difficult to use in the real world for everyday purchases, although there are various apps out there we don't yet have one killer app that can be used to pay with bitcoin in stores.

Just recently I heard of Plutus which sounds promising, it allows you to pay at any NFC enabled merchant with bitcoin through their app, things like this will encourage more people into bitcoin and also some more positive media!

I think bitcoin is fine as it is, as long as we find a solution to this blocksize cap soon.
There is no solution as far as the block size limit is concerned. Raising the block size X amount of times does nothing but postpone the 'problems' (as some claim).

Because something needs do be done about it.
Something is being done: Segwit, Lightning Network.

It's also the arrogance and stubbornness of bitcoin miners, thinking only of themselves (although that is what you would expect from a decentralised system)
What makes you say that?

We need to find the perfect balance of democracy and decentralization.
This is probably impossible due to how humans are.

The nly thing that can potentially kill bitcoin is regulation and governments. If Governments start a persecution against bitcoiners it could harm the ecosystem up to the point of killing it!

I think time is killing bitcoin... as we are approaching the next phase of bitcoin growth, if we are unable to solve the blocksize issues, bitcoin will died slowly. However, if we work together and overcome the obstacles, time is going to be with us....

goverments can't make bitcoin stop existing. even if they ban bitcoin usage in the entire would, then it still isn't possible. to entirely kill bitcoin you need to close the internet or all the power in the world. otherwise nothing can stop bitcoin.

Nothing is killing it, rest assured, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, even governments hostile to Bitcoin can be by passed by Tails Linux Live OS which has electrum pre installed you just need to restore your wallet there. So nothing can kill it as long as its digital.

Lack of knowledge, lack of awareness and lack of trust from the people is killing bitcoin as they get carried away with the news that they listen related to bitcoins.

It's not the lack of it exactly, rather the resistance and ignorance of people. I know people who just don't want to use it but they know exactly what bitcoin is.

I might be wrong but I don't thing the word "killing" is used as in "Mr X has killed Mr XX".
It's more about "what is keeping btc from giving its full potential"!
