Rothwell is a big fighter who is most dangerous on his feet and is capable of landing powerful strikes that have produced knockouts ,he has also improved his ground game that’s produced back to back wins by submission, that being said he used to take in punches to give some ,and with Dos Santos who is considered the heaviest puncher in heavy weight. it is really a gamble to place a bet against Dos Santos. it is going to be a striking match for sure, who lands in first will win the match

Dos Santos has looked like a shell of his old self.. I think the fights with Velasquez took a toll on him. While Rothwell is riding high and in the best form of his life. Rothwell has chance if it hits the ground while Dos Santos will look to keep it standing. I will take Rothwell in this one cus he has looked better recently.

This might sound odd but I feel JDS didn't deserve this fight. Big Ben is on a tear. JDS 3 losses in his last 5 fights big Ben 3 losses in his last 10. I think this going to be a 1 round TKO in my opinioin. But should be a good one.

Yes on both occasions of Velasquez fight he really took some beating but that does not mean that he is not in form because of that, if that is the case Robbie Lawler wont be winning at all. all of his fights are full on war and he is still the champ.if we look at Rothwell's last fight against Barnett, he was taking in punches and was sloppy in the beginning, he needs some time to get into the fight groove, with JDS he could knock you out just like that. This might sound odd but I feel JDS didn't deserve this fight. Big Ben is on a tear. JDS 3 losses in his last 5 fights big Ben 3 losses in his last 10. Dos Santos has been a real hit or miss lately, which includes being knocked out twice in his last three fights, the reason is he is recovering from injury and he was changing camps now and then and those things has affected his confidence. he will be back for sure

Dos Santos for the win by KO in my opinion, I don't think there is anything else to consider.

ben is not that good on the ground, his sub wins are by fighters going for takedowns and getting a guillotine choke. funny 2 or 3 years ago ben woulda been a huge underdog. i still like jds by ko even tho he hasnt looked good since switching camps.

Ben is a gogó choke specialist ,he is really really strong,to make one tap with that choke you need the strength than leverage .Ben's transformation is huge in the past few after opening of his school nd stuff. it is definitely an interesting match up

I'll go for the Big Ben for this fight. Looking at the fight history of Dos Santos, his last win is via unanimous decision Dec 13 2014 with Stipe Miocic. Dos Santos is known to have a heavy hand and a good jaw, but his last fight is not impressive with Alistair Overeem (KO).

Both fighters are ranked in the top 10 of the UFC heavyweight division, suggesting that both of them are more than eligible to be fighting each other to climb up the ranks. Obviously, the main target of both men is to get another shot at the heavyweight title.

Odds makers are going to the side of JDS instead of Rothwell I just hope he change his fighting style since he is more on boxing. I remember a fight when he don't even want to stay down and waited for his opponent to stand up and slug it out. I would like o see slugging at grappling. This is MMA.

Rothwell vs JDS is a tough one to call, that's why the odds are so close. JDS has better boxing so he could keep Ben at range and throw combos at him, but is his chin gone from all the wars he has been in and will Big Ben keep his momentum? I haven't bet the main event yet, but I like the value on a couple of underdogs in Gabriel Gonzaga over Derrick Lewis at +160 when I bet it (now less) and Zak Cummings over Nicolas Dalby at +150 today.

I agree with most here that it will be close, that is also why I like the over 1.5 rounds. Neither are known for going in crazy in the first round and I think both will take their time. Here is a video I made, also with a few picks for the next card https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Cj2BOQsZz0

If Junior Dos Santos is in the best of health then it is really hard to defeat him, Ben Rothwell is in tremendous form at the moment and he is really confident that he can take on anybody, and in the fight business confidence is everything. since this is going to be a straight up boxing as Rothwell and Dos Santos like to stand and trade. and if it goes to the ground then Rothwell has the advantage

Junior Dos Santos was once one of the feared UFC heavy weight fighter. I guess his age and health is taking its toll while Ben is banking on his fight history. This is going to be. Good fight for the 2 gentlemen. Both even shaked hands after their weigh-ins.

Junior Dos Santos is still a feared heavy weight.if u look at the average age of heavy weights its more than 33 .so age is not an excuse here. he has being in battles with cain for sure, but his injury might be the reason for his faded performances
