trying to solo mine alt coins and pulling my hair out please help lol

hi guys can anyone help me solo mine with my antminer s3s

im running bfg miner for the stratrum the wallets on the same pc

and its running and conected to the pool

im pointing my antminer s3s to 127.0.0.1:29996 with the username and pass and it wont connect for the life of me am i doing it corectly or is there anything else that i need to do or maybe somethings blocking it thanks

change port maybe it is used by another coin or another process, and remember that when you want to point your miner to another machine, you need to put this in the config 192.168.1.* and not the full ip address

Thanks I'll give it a go what port do you mean the rpc and if I wanted to mine with my other s3 as I'm only testing with one add the 192.168.1.* would it need to be on 192.168.0.* or the one you put thanks for the help
