What is the progress about the Cryptsy stolen funds case?

Any news?

Why not selling the $1.5 mansion and pay the Cryptsy users?

I hear that the case is in receivership and all assets are frozen.  So I guess everything is tied up in court for a while so they can sort it out.

If by positive end you mean the money is all gone then yes, and if by near you mean the resolution to
return nothing to the users is going to be 3-5 years at best... yes again.

You have it all correct

Write your losses off.  The money is long gone and anything that is left will be held up in courts and taken by lawyer fees and the government long before anything gets back to those who were robbed.

The house belongs to Paul Vernon. Cryptsy lost your money. You need to get money from Cryptsy. If they have no money, you are fucked.

If it is proven that there was fraud, you may be able to get some of his personal assets. Even in that case, I'm not sure if you can go after someone's personal home.

Hopefully law enforcement will catch up with that crook, with Cryptsy's opperations having been a US based, authorities there will surely be able to investigate what was going on. If the opperation proves to have been fraudulent you might see property seizure, although to me that seems unlikely and even it becomes reality it would take a long time.
