Anyone of you ever heard of this bs?

We reviewed the documents you submitted and we've determined you were not yet 18 years old when you created your account. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up for a PayPal account. For this reason, we've limited your account's functionality.

So just to be clear, my account was made in 2009. I'm born in 1992 so okay, yes, I might not have been 18. But I could use it up untill now (im 1 month from 24). Like, really? They let me use it for 7 years to tell me then that I shouldn't have made it back then and completely forbid me to use that account?? Yezus...

So... you specifically broke the terms of service when it said only 18 individuals and above... It seems like part your fault to be quite honest. I don't think you should of created the account in the first place being underage from what I understand correctly.

Was it limited or just plain closed? I've had my differences with paypal in the past, but in the end phoning support usually solved the problem.

Really, that is your response? I made it 6months too soon, used it for 7 and now I cant use it anymore because 7 years ago I wasn't 18. Rules or not, thats ridiculous...

I can withdraw my money still to my bank, so no worries, I just liked the acount, especially because of it being so old, now I need to go through all the holding funds bullshit, again,...

Luckily you can still withdraw your funds...
But i do think you're completely right, it's ridiculous.

The only thing is: when you look at it from a legal perspective, they probably didn't make any legal faults when limiting your account. From a human persepective it's ridiculous, but i don't know if there's a lot you can do about it

Just go and contact them and tell them why you use paypal when you r underage , how you feel regret about that and how important that paypal to you

Well they did explicitly say I should make another if I wanted to use paypal again. So I am not going to bother them when it can be easier, still bs though, but yea, thats life...

Paypal fees are too high, and the chargeback options is really bad, I prefer using Bitcoin than paypal.

The chargeback function is there with an reason you can thank all scammers for that. Accounts get massive abused when they don't have the chargeback function.

try to call them and ask to talk to some supervisor if they tell you there is none avalibel insinst that you can wait i think your case was just handeled by someone who have no clue or just not really care

It sounds crazy that they would lock you out after 7 years and you are now 25.  It must be some kind of program to check all accounts and has a glitch that caught yours.
