2FA makes your account safer. It's easier to steal a static password (phishing) than also steal the 2FA key.
Disadvantage - if your phone is lost, stolen or at least its battery is drained, you may not log in. You also have to make sure you don't delete the authenticator program.

Each and every site, when you activate 2FA, has to also offer a "secret key".
That's your only chance to "retrieve" authentication, so keep it safe.

If your phone is lost, you can duplicate the authentication feature on another phone with this secret key.
But if your phone is lost or stolen, your 2FA app is stolen with it and other may have access to your wallet.

Log in to Google doesn't help. They don't spy on you that bad

Yes!  You SHOULD have 2fa with any account related to money.  That includes all exchanges, faucets, gambling sites...and the list goes on.

I have been reading about a lot of social engineering hacks on email accounts.  So, I have enabled 2fa on nearly everything of value, even if it is something personal, like my email.

Countless people (me included) have learned the hard way about not using 2fa-  a brute force attack on your password will hack your account and steal your btc.  So, don't learn the hard way.

The disadvantages are the extra "hassle" of going thru 1 additional step.  It's worth it!  Even if you are a trader and you have many trades coming in at once..yes it does slow you down, but it is worth it.

I guess another disadvantage is if you lose your cell phone and you have to enter a code from authy or google authenticator.  I think, though, that you can still access these 2fa apps from a computer.

If you have the key, which is required to generate the 2fa code then just transfer it to any other device and it will start generating the code for you. Just make sure to type it correctly if you're doing it manually.

2FA is for best security practice, and we shouldn't be greedy in keeping our belongings secure !!
2FA makes your account more secured and because its virtually impossible to spoof it !

It's very important. Without having 2fa, you will make it easy for hackers to ranscack all the coins that you have.

Using 2FA authentication it will make your wallets much safer, for me if you do not store big money for your investment site or wallet do not used 2FA it will makes complicated if you are using more divices but this is very useful for now to avoid hacker because using this kind of security you will be complacent that you money will be safe. That is why most of my wallet has 2FA authentication because my wallet is like my trusted bank ill save money as my investment.

2FA can protect all your account and it's very safe if your password were stolen

What thing you dont understand regarding on 2fa? It is just like an added security layer into your account for more safety against hackers and people who do try to logged in your account. I would always suggest to put up 2fa anytime specially if we do have large amounts of money on a certain site.To tell you honestly this stuff did able to save me how many times because lots of unidentified log-in attempts do happen into my accounts.Lets say 15-20x on all of my accounts which do have money,i dont know how they did able to get some credentials in able to logged in but this 2fa did able to save me up.

All of my accounts in trading sites have 2fa authentication factor because I don't want any hackers to find an opening to rob all my altcoins. It's very important also that is is activated in your online wallets but I don't think hackers will waste their time on faucet accounts because they know it's only a couple of dust balance.
