Hours After Launch, OpenBazaar Sees First Drug Listings

The open-source, peer-to-peer marketplace software OpenBazaar officially went live yesterday, marking a major milestone for the long-in-development project.

Powered by the use of bitcoin as a payments method, OpenBazaar is intended to serve as a decentralized alternative to marketplaces like eBay, in which a central entity acts as a money clearing house as well as an arbiter for behavior.

As OB does not support TOR you would need a really good vpn service to stay anonymous.
So offering drugs on this platform is silly and pretty risky.
But some guys have to learn it the hard way it seems.

Considering that OpenBazaar is not completely anonymous and your ISP can be revealed this is really dumb of some people.  Also disappointed to hear this because of the bad press that comes with bitcoin regarding illegal activities - it does not help.  OpenBazaar is supposed to be a great alternative to Ebay, not another silkroad.

I love Bitcoin

Some people are putting their benefits above anything else. They do not care about ruining the reputation of a newly opened project. They care only about themselves

How dare you reprimand people you've never met for simply wishing to exchange their legitimate property with one another.

Are you happy ruining the reputations of peaceful users of "illegal" drugs, for what is probably something like the trillionth time? Presumably you're one of the sleep-walkers that also believe that violent and/or abductive enforcement of these disgusting "laws" is ethical.

I put it to you: you and the rest of the prohibitionists are the selfish ones, putting your needs above those of others. And your needs are thoroughly contemptible; the need to be protected from something you either do not or refuse to understand, all so that the warlords you cower before can just sell the drugs anyway for an even greater profit.

Next time you're trying to impress your backwards Victorian-era morals on an issue, have a check around to see what the actual date is.
