In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

you need to point their machine to your machine, you need to know first your public address, not private, so not 192.168 etc... but one from your isp provider, then open the port in the config or your coin

so rpcallowip ips provider, rpcport, what you want(this must be the same on the rented machine) rpcuser, and rpcpassword, also these must be the same on the rented machine, and finally add server=1

You could also solo mine on certain pools, though keep in mind that they often charge a fee. Not sure if there is a benefit to this?
Here are some examples:

https://solo.nicehash.com/
http://solo.ckpool.org/
https://solo.mining-pool.io/

Then just enter the settings that the pool provides.

Just a quick warning: on average you'll lose coins when pointing rental rigs or nicehash towards a solo mining pool (or any pool for that matter).

Only do this if
  • you want to play "lotto mining" with your coins
  • you have loads of knowledge, and are extremely lucky in finding cheap hashrate and finding blocks

Think about it:
- Somebody renting out his equipment will charge a premium for this (for example :if he would make 1 BTC a month by mining with his rig, why would he rent it out for 1BTC or less? answer: he wouldn't... He would charge 1.1BTC/month for it, while it will only make 1 BTC)
- mininrigrentals or nicehash need to make money to, so they'll charge a fee
- the solo mining pool will charge a fee.

I don't want solo mining Bitcoin or Litecoin. I want solo mining any other coins with same algorithm as Bitcoin, litecoin and dashcoin.

Easiest way to solo mine? Open console of bitcoin core and type setgenerate true Wink

P.S if you do that you chances of finding a block are so so low its stupid, but not 100.0% impossible, more like 99.999999% impossible.

Personally for a solo pool I would trust CKs pool. Less of a chance of an orphan than your own node.
