Here is the link to the first bitcoins transaction.

https://blockchain.info/tx/4a5e1e4baab89f3a32518a88c31bc87f618f76673e2cc77ab2127b7afdeda33b

The coins used here are the newly generated ones. This transaction would have been done by satoshi.

EDIT : They are first bitcoins not first bitcoin transaction.

I thought the first actual transaction between two addresses was done between Satoshi and Hal Finney....

I thought the first actual transaction between two addresses was done between Satoshi and Hal Finney....

https://blockchain.info/tx/f4184fc596403b9d638783cf57adfe4c75c605f6356fbc91338530e9831e9e16

that's the first bitcoin transaction between two addresses.

I guess people doesn't consider the transaction on OP as the first transaction because every new block are required to create a transaction to transfer the newly minted coins.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.  Completely fascinated by early early Bitcoin and Satoshi's vision and intentions.

Yea, it's the Genesis Coins .... No inputs, just a output.  Huh The first time coins went from one person to another, were between Hal Finney and Satoshi. I can just image the excitement, when they did that

first transaction and it worked. I sometimes wonder if Satoshi and Hal recognised the potential of the technology with the generation of these first coins or if it was still just an experiment to them. I think most

people thought it was a novel idea, but it will end up as a fad or geek money... and it will never go mainstream.  Roll Eyes

How do you know how much has been sent to that address? Kind of like a tribute to Satoshi?

From the above transaction link, the address comes out to be 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa.
So now you can view the address balance easily here : https://blockchain.info/address/1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa

You can see the address https://blockchain.info/address/1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa and that is how you know how much is sent to an address, like the most recent one was sent on 2016-03-31 and no, I don't think its paying tribute to anyone, more like throwing money away for no reason, it'd be better if they donate this to me ..err to a charity instead of this.  Cheesy

Here is the link to the first bitcoins transaction.

https://blockchain.info/tx/4a5e1e4baab89f3a32518a88c31bc87f618f76673e2cc77ab2127b7afdeda33b

The coins used here are the newly generated ones. This transaction would have been done by satoshi.

EDIT : They are first bitcoins not first bitcoin transaction.
its possible,if you depend on this date 2009-01-03 18:15:05
so,what gonna happen if we found this first bitcoin sent, even its done by satoshi, can satoshi trace by this transaction?and 50 BTC is not much for that time.

Wow that is really fascinating. I wanted to know this and good that a thread is posted. I am curious to see satoshi and it is really exciting to see what Satoshi got very first. Thank you again for this great information.
