Hi All,

Bitcoin Core, the open source project that maintains bitcoin client software called “Bitcoin Core,” has launched a sponsorship program in an effort to involve more of the cryptocurrency community in the project.

How do you see it?

Though your skepticism and caution is justified, that site is the "official" bitcoincore website.

blockstream has $55mill.. and it definetly aint just for just 3 coders. but atleast now they can syphon it to pay bounties to the other dev's under the pretense that its transparent. and also as sponsorship/donation for tax purposes.. along with it not being presumed to be a employment contract.. though if u wash away all the fluff.. its basically paying coders to add features corporations want.

best to keep a close eye on the new Bips that come about due to such corporate cough "sponsorship" cough
